I thought farmers were struggling financially. This one clearly has invested heavily in barbed wire.Martin R17/12/2023

As Rob suggests, using any of the mapped RoW to the south of the summit is a red herring. It's how I got up and down but not recommended due to a double bw and elec fence combo, brambles etc. This path is clearly never used by locals. Very good parking for about 10 cars outside cemetery.Matt20/12/2022
Decent parking on grass verge by junction to N. at SH 3859 8972 - E. along road for about 50m, over new gate & S. across pasture - Over bwf & made way up between areas of gorse to the summit outcrop.gerrybowes30/10/2022
From west as others, had to wander around the prickly stuff to get to top. Went to both.PeterD13/08/2022
Rusty gate now covered in barbed wire. Field entrance over wall with bwf topping. Easy once over but getting back had the same problem.Campbell Singer21/04/2022
Via the rusty gate, which is still hanging on to life.DC11main16/05/2021

7th tump of 9 today on a car excursion from Pentraeth with Lesley; climbing Maes Maethlu, Penbryreglwys and Mynydd Garn then over to the Castellor car park on the edge of Cemaes, climbing Moel Llanlleiana, Dinas Gynfor and Graig Wen. Fiddly route of minor lanes to park up on West side of summit then via rusty gate as others circling around the gorse to explore all prominent outcrops. Onwards to Parys mountain..Dazingdale19/07/2019
P on road to W. Over old gate. Best to go round N and E side of hill.chrisbien30/06/2019

Pop up from gateway to bag the trig and summit. Lots of lambs about...nordicstar23/03/2018
Genteel wander across and up field of sheep from the north to the summit or not of Barr Smith rock interspersed with the ever present gorse.vegibagger13/06/2017
Parked to west by gate on west side of road at SH 38402 89493. Crossed road and climbed over rusty old iron gate (the one shown in the hill portrait). Instead of aiming directly for summit I walked left and kept to a pleasant green swathe of short grass. First travelling east then south and finally west for final short approach to summit. This avoids all prickly vegetation and rocky stuff.David Gradwell03/06/2017
Parked on the minor road to west then over gate and around bracken to bag both rocky outcrops.Dugswell225/01/2017
From W - don't turn L in front of summit - pricklyjimbloomer12/01/2017
Field gate due W, parking a little tricky but room for one car nearby. Rocky outcrops in gorse and grass.jonglew15/09/2015
Wide lane and gate due W. Meandered through gorse and rocks to find HPGordonAdshead25/04/2015
2 chough near summit. Via RoW from SSW but this is fiddly, descended W to gate.RHW19/04/2015
Parked on grass verge at road junction North of Carreglefn, along road then up path over fence to get to top.Craig6712/02/2015
