Parked at the cattle grid by the Megget Stone. Talla Cleuch Head (the deer fence is well-gated so it doesn't matter which side of it you're on), back to Cairn Law, Broad Law, Hunt Law, back to Cramalt Craig and finally Clockmore. Steep descent to the road and a lovely walk back to the car in the evening sun.tsharp04/08/2022
Layby parking 20m N of private road to Patervan NT108285. Through gate on R just before Patervan Farm - dirt road leads N around to gate through electric fence, where ATV tk starts steeply up N edge of trees. When ATV angle eases off, it becomes a linear quagmire over Birkside Law, then more solid ground on to Hunt LawIsbjorn07/06/2022
Parked on the A701, north of the access to Stanhope. Walked up past Stanhope Farm and turned off up a track at the first sheepfold, to Taberon Law (636m). Dropped down an ATV track past lots of grouse butts, straight down to the ford over Stanhope Burn. Followed the stony track, then ATV track for the 30m of ascent to Hunt Law (639m). Picked up another ATV track back down to Stanhope Burn, downstream of the ford, where was a wee footbridge, then back to the car all the track past the farm. Good views if overcast, souterhly wind, no problems.chillyman817/04/2022

From Patervan in a clockwise circuit over Birkside Law, Hunt Law, Cramalt Craig, Fifescar Knowe, Dollar Law, Middle Hill and Taberon Law and back via Stanhope. Excellent loop with atv/path all the way on a glorious day - recommend it.SS23/04/2021

Ascended from the track that runs up from Stanhope and the A701, after Taberon Law. Heavy rain at the top after a hot humid start.Roblex08/08/2019
Parked in disused gateway SW of entrance to Stanhope at 1185 3035 (Space for 2 cars) - Private road to Stanhope & then along track to 144279 - Burn too deep to ford so crossed adjacent footbridge (replacement for one washed away in 2015) & up ATV track to summit rock. Continued to Birkside Law. (S)gerrybowes31/07/2019

From Broad Law, down and part way up fence towards Cramalt Crag, took ATV track that went off left from the fence that took us direct to shooting track just below Hunt Law, back along ATV track over the ridge to Cramalt CragJulieB04/05/2019
Solo from P at Hearthstane on A701, through farm and onto junction with track running N skirting W side of forest and contiuing over bridge over Polmood Burn. Turned R, SE, along old track, shown on OS map, for 2.5 km to a hut and forked L up newish track, climbing steeply to sharp L, then 90 deg, R turn and followed it onto high point where a worn atv path on L gave access to summit of HL. Took snaps and returned down to atv/track junction for lunch break in the sun coming over Broad Law but wind was cold. Retraced up-hill route back to H. First visit, also solo, was on 19/09/2015 coming from Cramalt Craig and returning via col between CC and BL to Megget Resvr. Third visit, solo, on 16/03/2020 was a repeat of second visit, except lunch was taken in lee of hut at track fork as SW wind was blowing strongly and v cold.jacobus02/01/2019

S/F layby on A701. Private road to Stanhope then track up glen. No bridge across burn so would be tricky if in spate. Good quad track all the way to summit.AndrewFinnimore27/08/2018

From NW, along ridge over Birkside Law, for Iain Brown's New Donalds completion. Then dropped down W out of the wind to the nice circular sheep fank for biscuits and whisky and back to Patervan via the excellent track.RHW29/11/2015
Iain Brown's final New Donald. From layby on A701, through Patervan Farm and over Birkside Law first on a damp and breezy day. Dropped down to track alongside Polmood Burn for return.jonglew29/11/2015

Solo; continuation of walk from Clockmore over Cramalt Craig, dropping from CC onto vague atv tracks, crossing bulldozed track to reach summit of HL. Returned onto boggy col and went to W of CC, contouring then dropping towards Pykestone Hill which was passed on N and E, followed by going round W of Clockmore and v steeply down to Linghope bridge and P at picnic place on bank of Megget Reservoir. Weather continued fair all day although cloud thickened in afternoon. As usual, met no-one but disturbed two mountain hares.seumas19/09/2015

A big ambitious running bagging day with Darren on snow covered hills. quickly down form Broad Law to Great Knock over Brown Knowe then down and up to Hunt Law. Trying to sweep up any top over 600m and Birkside Law (500 m top)was just too far off route to add to an already big day with an uncertain outcome against darkness.Chris Pearson12/04/2013
Dropped down from Cramalt Craig over Sherraside rig and new road cutting across at bottom then up to top of Hunt Law.derekblackburn19/03/2011
In Moffat for a couple of days, day 1 started solo near the high point of the road between the Talla & Megget reservoirs near the Megget Stone. Straight up the slope NW out to Talla Cleuch Head & then following the boundary to Broad Law. Then NE until just short of Cramalt Craig & then NW following the boundary to Hunt Law. Retraced steps most of way back & turned NE then N over Dun Law & Fifescar Knowe to Dollar Law. Followed the boundary all the way back to Cramalt Craig before heading SE over Pykestone Knowe & Clockmore before dropping down the steep & heathery slope to the reservoir & then a wander back along the road. A warm, sunny day where I misjudged the amount of water I needed.NotReallyABagger31/08/2010
from Taberon. Downhill on compass, easy going at first until last 1/4 m with knee high heather hiding rocks. To a track over Stanhope Burn by a plank footbridge. Wet patches on peat. 15 butts luckily unoccupied. To broad lank grass top at 12.20. Shooting activity further up the valley.arranc14/09/2009

After taking in Broad Law and Cramalt Craig came over this one on the way back to the car on the A701. Broad Law had been out of the clouds but this one was well and truly in it so no views. Lovely steep descent off it though.garyhoney31/12/2008
