From the road to the west just below LangsideAndrew Simmons22/11/2023
From the Kilmacolm-Langbank footpath, via the timber yard where a grown-over vehicle track leads to the base of the hill.neimcv23/07/2023
The aforementioned stile (note spelling) is hidden away at NS 36192 71922. More bracken than I expected from OP logs. I have had the summit and portrait pictures replaced.Martin R10/08/2022
As others.lordtonult29/11/2021
Another very pleasant hill with fine views near Kilmacolmfasgadh21/05/2021
Pull in next to Langside entrance. Found the rusty old gate. Better to take next gate to left and walk up through top of pasture next to field boundary and avoid gorse and felled forestry. This route also avoids disturbing the residents of Langside.Campbell Singer13/05/2021
Parking at start of track to Langside. Just as you reach Langside go over gate and follow path which takes you almost to the summit.bjewing27/02/2021
As far as i can see the pictures on this page aren't of knockmountain, they're of the unnamed 191 meter hill about 1km away to the east. I parked at Leperstone Avenue Kilmacolm and spent a bit of time exploring the various footpaths before heading for knock mountain, which from this direction has a very indistinct summit, and the views from the top don't open out until the very summit is reached. Lovely mature beech trees to the north of the summit. Then went on to do the 191m top, Barscube hill, Craig Muir and Whinny Hill. 3 Tumps, about an 8 mile circular.mattymatt21/02/2021
2nd of 4 tumps around Kilmacolm.Grinner25/06/2020
Climbed as part of Boris walk with SusanTheflyingrabbit20/04/2020
Parked besides a broken seat outside Langside. Over a broken gate in the trees nearby, then straightforward walk to the top and back. Nice little hill.summitter01/02/2020
Parked above Langside and walked a wee bit further up where a gate leads to an easy grassy ramp which takes you most of the way to the top.sclater23/01/2020
From gate near Langside, style into wood.hillsman20/07/2019
P Langside entrance, gate just up the hill, pleasant approach & summit.agentmancuso24/11/2018
6th tump of 10 today on a 37.2km walk from Kilbarchan to Greenock (Whinhill station) climbing Barnbrock Hill, Law Hill, Barlogon Hill, Craig Muir and Barscube Hill, descending West then SW crossing pasture onto the minor lane (via gate). I veered off at the 181m spot height to climb a deer fence then found track heading SW but veered off Nw when I could, heading for the top. I noted summit as NS 37238 71829, recording 195m. Continuing to Craigmarloch Hill.Dazingdale27/05/2018
After Craigmarloch, along minor roads towards Langside farm and up before then and open pasture to near summit. Not too bad. Pretty reservoir. On to CraigmuirThearlaichdubh12/11/2017
From w as others. Obscure start from old gate just S of Langside entranceRHW23/10/2016
Mixed weather, mild, calm and good views.iangalbraith29/03/2016
As Robert and Colin plus a style into the wood. And yes there was snow on the hills to the North.chrisbien25/12/2015
park near langside track then through 2 gates.robertphillips28/05/2015
Seventh hill of the day, a welcome antidote to the previous one, the awful Long Craig in Greenock. Handy parking space at the entrance to Langside, then along a grassy shelf below the fence line. Summit dome obvious, in pleasant, mature forest. Good views over to Southern Highlands in snow.Colin Crawford24/01/2015
