Better than expected. Good all round views. | hillsman | 19/03/2018 |
Parked at car park at canal side. Followed towpath a short distance then over a stile onto a path heading left. Round the first slope the path turns right up the steepish slope to a plateau from which you can choose from a variety of routes to the top. Followed a different set of paths down to emerge between large tree trunks opposite the car park | Jubilado | 01/02/2018 |

Parked near the entrance to Philpstoun Bing South. Then across the canal bridge bagging its cut mark then down and round to towpath then up Philpstoun Bing North. A fine view point even on a damp grey afternoon. Return to car then bagged Philpstoun Bing South. | Dugswell2 | 16/09/2017 |
Chaotic spoil heaps from former oil shale works. Scope for planning a small but testing orienteering event here- with tricky route choices on the semi mobile steep sided slopes - up and over , around,or slip sliding contouring . Only had time for this one bing as airport check in not to be missed. | Chris Pearson | 07/06/2017 |
Dodged the motorbikes and started a small summit cairn for future baggers. | summitter | 05/03/2017 |
both bings from the canal car park. | robertphillips | 24/02/2017 |
Enormous! | Play2End | 03/02/2017 |
Walked from Linlithgow along the towpath and up from carpark to E. Pleasanter than PB South | Thearlaichdubh | 14/12/2016 |
From E, canal car park, cross road to path which contours past a couple of bumps to grassy highpoint. Colourful bing scenery. Recompletes West Lothian for me. | RHW | 12/12/2015 |
P at canal. | chrisbien | 24/05/2015 |
I was expecting one bing but found two: the one on the north of the canal was a surprise. | Pete R | 18/05/2015 |
