From end of road in Lindrick Dale. Up via ROW, then through trees (low brambles). Returned via field boundary, which was easier.PGCE25/11/2023

from parking at end of lane followed the righthand FP in to the quarry and round to the right, then around the top of the quarry until corner of fence. With easy steps on the left, ignore those and went to the SE corner up a couple of steps and followed nice wee path through the woods then located small cairngrumpy18/01/2023

Parked Lindrick Dale, back corner of quarry (easy steps not a scramble) continue straight across path to field follow edge to woods in which HP pile of stones short distance in. With my missus. Have previously visited this quarry (but not the high point) after climbing in Anston Stones wood to see if there was potential for climbing there - scope for a couple of lines but diminutive height of about 6m only.Nick Canute10/03/2022

To clarify the problems highlighted on some reports ...... There is parking available at the end of the dead-end road down Lindrick Dale. No prohibitive notices (20/1/2020). Only one local objects and has a habit of putting a handwriiten and meaningless notice up. Take the right hand of the two paths for 30m where you will find a stile on your left. The maps show the path turning left after this stile and going up the wood. This is no longer available and is impassible. Instead, enter the quarry and bear right to the end of the quarry face. Here the path continues clearly upwards and into the woods below the summit. Judge the highest point and head directly upwards through the trees to the summit which is in the trees, not in the field. Don't be misled by the map, the path no longer follows the indicated route.moorsman21/01/2020

From end of road in Lindrick Dale, foot path into old quarry (a granular dolomitic limestone?) I climbed out of the back of the quarry to join the path, the start of which I'd missed. Easily up through deciduous woodland being overgrown by ivy to summit marked by small green cairn.RichardM07/01/2019
From easy parking on the A57. My last Rotherham UA tump.Alan Caine03/11/2018

Parked in a lay-by on the main road then walked down the road in Lindrick Dale. Then footpath into quarry then take right and do a anticlockwise circuit of upper quarry rim then to woodland where a direct approach is ok at this time of year before the vegetation springs up.Dugswell205/02/2017

No parking sign in the turning area at the end of Lindrick Dale, but someone else was parked there already and no complaints in the 15 minutes I was therethe_adam03/12/2016
Parked near bridge at bottom of road to Lindrick Dale. FP through quarry and then round the top of it. Followed field edge to top and then into wood for the HP.PeterD26/10/2016
No parking at S end of Lindrick Dale. Walk down over quarry, through wood and followed wood edge to HP.arranc30/08/2016
Good parking from the small road to the north. Went through quarry then a short walk round the edge of the trees to the top. I agree that the cairn is the highest point.SEMC16/04/2016
Walked across Lindrick Golf Course using bridleway to Monk's Bridge and then up through woods. Shotgun fired in the near vicinity as I approached hp. Wood pigeon shooting on Good Friday morning. Golf course looked in great condition.Campbell Singer25/03/2016

Follow footpath right through quarry and up left behind it to the woods. Easy walk up through the trees to the summit cairn. With Eire, Evan, Sail, Danu, Coel & Alfie.Dangerous Dave13/12/2015
3rd hill of three today on a walk from Harworth to Shireoaks station with Lexi Rue, my partner's Labradoodle including Harworth colliery, Honey hill and then followed bridleway to edge of Woodsetts heading Sw over Lindrick common and the A57 veering off to follow fp west through woodland. We climbed up steeply when fp started to descend but got tangled in Hawthorn and brambles overlooking steep drop into quarry. We headed east to gain field and followed edge up to highest point but thrn i explored woodland and summit does appear to be the small stone cairn next to a fallen tree. Descent over field Se to corner of woodland then east to intercept fp heading S to Grancliffe grange. Continued Se to Canal towpath terminating at Shireoaks.Dazingdale05/12/2015
From Worksop on Chesterfield Canal. Up from Thorpe Salvin bridge. On Bridleway north of summit then easily up through woods on a thin path.Moorponder13/11/2015

From n as other loggers. In descent followed main path W round top edge of quarry, for variety. Leads back into quarry by a slightly longer non scrambly route. Rotherham re-completedRHW16/10/2015
Parked near Kiveton Park station then followed Chesterfield Canal tow path towards the hill. Went up via disused quarry where one simple step up gets you up and out of the SE corner, then followed a path along the field edge to the top.Wheelsy18/09/2015
AJ had not filed a log when I set off to this hill. As he says, it is more interesting than expected with a simple scramble out of the corner of the quarry. (not sure if row on the 25K still actually exists). I went up the field edge and easily entered the woods from the hp in the top field.GordonAdshead16/09/2015
From N, parked at S end of Lindrick Dale, two f/ps lead off. RH one over bridge, after 30m stile on L and track into old quarry. Easy escape at SE corner, through trees into rough grass at end of crop field. Up side of wood to corner. Highest point seems to be inside wood. Shapeless pile of stones near corner but a smaller hollow mossy cairn in undergrowth at SK 54175 82000 may be summit. Interesting little spot.Aye Jimmy15/09/2015
Pleasant hill in an interesting area. Climbed from Thorpe Salvin and through the disused quarry with the little scramble in the corner. Cleared the ivy off the cairn.ngthack09/09/2015
