Spent the weekend at the Ochils Mountaineering Club cottage in Crianlarich. Sunday 29/08/21, I met up with Alex McBride and we headed up Bidean nan Bain. Starting up the steep east slope of Beinn Fhada, to bag its two Munro Tops. Followed by the appropriately named 'bad step', which was a bit airy for comfort, on the ascent to the 1st Munro of Stob Coire Sgreamhach (1072m). Then Bidean nan Bain (1150m, 2nd Munro), from where I ventured west for the Munro Top of Stob Coire nam Beith (1107m) and then back up to Bidean. The return to the car meant we had to ascent the fourth and final Munro Top of the day Stob Coire nan Lochan (1115m), then around the west side of Coire nan Lochan and back to the Three Sisters car park 10:50hrs after leaving the Beehive Cairn car park, both of us suitably knackered.chillyman829/08/2021

From Bidean nam Bian west top. Nice to be on a relatively unfrequented bit of the mountain. Feeling very coastal with light clouds drifting in. Returned to Glencoe via Beinn Fhada, admiring the scale of the surrounding peaks. Tricky descent, should've descended from bealach south of the far east top instead of direct descent to east . Another superb mountain day.Wycombe Wanderer29/06/2021

Tempted not to bother with this outlier from Bidean nam Bian but decided unlikely to be this close again without having to make a special journey in the future when I decide I want to visit all the Munro Tops. Reward was excellent views towards Ballaculish bridge and Loch Linnhe beyond.mntainman26/08/2020

Last Munro Top - climbed with Kenny having also traversed 200th Corbett Beinn Maol Chaluim from Glen Etive. Had been saving Corbett for last Corbett/last munro top celebration but thought it was better to climb top, given it was already 16.5 years since penultimate oneSpudGunn27/02/2019

Unfinished business. 2 weeks ago, climbed to the ridge, but thick fog and poor navigation meant a near miss. Thanks to metoffice.gov.uk today was a brilliant climb in perfect conditions. CP at Achnambeithach (hidden off road and much quieter than others along the A82). Walk on the road over the bridge, over crash barrier and through metal gate to the start of an excellent track which climbs steeply above and eventually beside and over Allt Coire nam Beithach. Easy to cross in summer - might be challenging when river is in spate. Head SE at the ridge, over Stob Coire name Beith and beyond that to Bidean nam Bian. Very steep ascent and descent, but at 5.5 miles, quite a bit shorter than alternative (much busier routes).callumorr15/08/2016

RBS HWC Sunday outing; the well-made path up from Achnambeithach was slippery and wet; I was running tight for time and took a bit of a punt that I could descend from the col between Bidean and Stob Coire nan Lochan - a bit loose and scree like, but ultimately oklangskill31/08/2003
