Parked on minor road to N at SD 6210 8500. Over end of metal fence where BW removed and ahead to obvious gate. Half right to further gate at SD 6193 8465. No gate to summit field - requires crossing double fenced hedge.carole engel28/12/2018
Road to bridge now open, work ongoing. Parked under trees off lane to North, up the bank and across field in SE direction, hurdled cattle trough and followed East side of fence. No sign of the MAE gate so pushed through the fence/double wired barrier at a tree to gain summit (path was another 200m on). Back Northwards and through another fence before heading back to the trough and way up through trees. 10 minutes scamperingnordicstar27/12/2018
From junc A683 & minor rd to Rigmaden Br. Bridge closed so no traffic going down to it made parking easy. 3 sheep pastures to the top.jonglew28/11/2018
Dusk, 5 degrees, good view of fells to east - tops in cloud. Snap, crackle and pop of sodding sodden sod.Wycombe Wanderer01/01/2018

From N as per AJ, but kept L in lower field to use mae's gate at top L corner to access summit pasture. Nice hill, frosty dusk ascent. 2 OSBMs: 1 at start, another on milestone en route. Cumbria recompleted - againRHW10/12/2017
Parked at T-junction on A683 just N of hill. Walked S to high point on quite busy road, passing large milestone, then over a gate. Field edge on R to top corner then couple of bwfs into top field.Aye Jimmy07/12/2017
Parking just S of Betweengates Lane on W side of A683. Used lane and RoW to emerge on main road E of summit. Climb to SW corner of first field, where there's a gate into the summit field.mae11/11/2017
