From Hirnant pass - last visit 1995 - just to ensure I'd got itclimbingkershaw18/11/2018
From the top of the Hirnant Pass. With LP.wombourne20/10/2018
Recompletion of Welsh Marilyns, Nuttall ans Simms. Canít be sure we did it on previous visit.softsquare02/10/2018
Back after the revision - very unlikely I climbed it 25 years ago when last along the track.Chris Peart01/10/2018
Can't imagine I did Foel Cedig on my first visit. A bit of a Muncaster job but more debatable: looks lower to me but if Myrddyn says higher, that's good enough.Eddie30/09/2018
Parked at the Hirnant Pass and took in in Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw and Foel Cedig, before returning to the car and climbing Foel y Geifr.Sprog29/09/2018
Foel Cedig > Y Groes Fagl > Trum y Sarn > Cyrniau Nod > Cyrniau Nod South-East Top > Cyrniau Nod > Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw > Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw SW Top > Pen y Cerrig Duon from GR: SH 94614 27328ronaldo33322/09/2018
Did the Berwyns last year so just wanted to visit the newly promoted Foel Cedig. Parked the car at SH 95240 29987, walked along the road South to the track at SH 94627 27327 and then followed the track all the way back to the car. Also stopped off at Y Groes Fagl as it's the easiest of the other tops. Really wet today.tsharp14/09/2018
Solo. To add recently discovered/measured Nuttall.glbrookes11/09/2018
Revisit after nearly 30 years to ensure I had done it then. Probably did it then but it's not named on my old 50k dated 1983.chriswatson10/09/2018
Just in case I missed it last time...TK07/09/2018
Parked on road, walked north to track at 953213 and walked up forking right down a less prominent track at 973204.clivevilla04/09/2018
From Hirnant Pass to W, using good track. Foel Cedig (shortly after assuming the Marilyn summit status - probably didn't visit 19 years previously when climbing Cyrniau Nod), Y Groes Fagl, then Stac Rhos on return.RobertP02/09/2018
Easy parking at track junction just before Ystrad-y-groes at SH 95641 30798. Up forest track & then 90m SE across heather to a few stones on summit mound. In November 2012, bagged the former top whilst doing a clockwise circuit of the Nuttallsí 7.5 route. Unfortunately, this route gave the new top a wide berth; the cairned path out to Cyrniau Nod leaves the track 600m E. of Foel Cedig. Recompletes the Nuttalls & Simms of England & Wales & a third recompletion of the Marilyns of England & Wales. (S)gerrybowes01/09/2018
From Craig Foel y ddinas by forest roads and paths south. Steep heather ascent from forest edge. I'm now confident climbed in 2001, but, to be sure .... . Solo. Onwards to Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw.marktrengove29/08/2018
Impeccable timing by Myrddyn to coincide with my much delayed Nuttall/Dewey bagging trip to Wales. May well have included this one 16 years ago but no record of it. Cycled up from picnic site in Cwm Hirnant.chalky195328/08/2018
Returned with DARRENG to re-complete the English and Welsh marilyns. At least 4th time we have completed. Stop messing.andrew brown26/08/2018
Full experience of lots of fresh deep snow to plough my way through today for my last Marilyn in Region 30.Alex C20/01/2018
Good job I did this one en route to Cyrniau Nod!!IanHHill27/06/2017
Climbed over this as part of my 11 Hill (now 12!) circuit that sunny dayFergalh17/06/2017

14 mile hard circular walk from the cattle grid at the bottom of the pass, used ill-defined footpaths up onto Pen Y Boncyn Trefeilw, then along lane to Stac Rhos up the lane to Foel Cedig and Cyrniau Nod, back down taking the pretty much pathless ridge to Cefn Gwyntog, descended and forded the stream west above the waterfall, followed lane to road, then followed lane through forest up onto the moors, struggled through hideous pathless heather up onto Cefn Coch, then across more heather to Foel Y Geifr, then down little path onto Trum Y Gwrgedd and Foel Goch back down to car with half an hour of daylight left.DanTrig13/03/2016
Parked on the road col and used vehicle track to get close (after 5km) to the top. Picked off a few Nuttalls on the way back to car w Jenx inc this top after Cyrniau Nod.nordicstar28/12/2015
Went over this as part of walk before the summit was moved hereSwindon Bagger04/05/2015
Done when returning back along track from Y Groes Fagl. Truly Mindless!!!!mindlessflogger17/03/2012
In passing, returning SW along track after Y Groes Fagl and Cyrniau Nod to Hirnant Pass on Nuttall's walk.Aye Jimmy20/04/2010
Up track then onto Foel Cedig before heading across to Cyrniau Nod, then picked up other tops on way back to car. Photo on Geography.Dugswell216/03/2010
Just read my journal from 2010 was relieved to see I climbed this hill on the way back from Cyrniau Nod. This saves me a trip to a bunch of hills that arenít that great if Iím totally honest.isabelle13/02/2010
Gets a dishonourable mention in my Leventon Line Fellrunner writeup: 'The other summits on this section are less interesting than they sound: Y Groes Fagl, Foel Cedig and Pen y Boncyn Trefeilw.'RHW26/04/2008
En route to C.N. remember thinking at the time thete wasnt much in it. A lovely quiet day.stig_nest23/04/2007
All three areas above 660m visited.richtea504010/09/2006
On a round of the Western Berwyn and Hirnant 2000ft tops from the head of the road pass. Solo, with bike.marktrengove26/06/2001
Used this highpoint on the track on the approach to Cyrniau Nod.Moorponder09/08/1998
On the September visit to Cyrniau Nod (qv for notes)- walked over to road at top of Cwm Hirnant today, visiting all the tops off the forest road.pwheeler28/09/1997

Probably bagged this with the Nuttalls along the ridge. Seems unlikely I would have circumnavigated it without climbing it - I am a bagger after all.chriswatson01/04/1989
on way to Cyrniau Nodarranc16/07/1988
34 years later I discover that the floundering there and back in rain and thick cloud to hunt among the peat hags and heather for the top of Cyrniau Nod was not strictly necessary. ( Although C N remains a Bridge 2000 ft top which was my guide at the time )Chris Pearson12/06/1984
