Morning bus from Douglas to Port Erin. Up the road past Ballaman the home of John Whittaker (Trafford Centre/Peel Group etc…). Via the stone circle to the pillbox summit. 1/2N.Morters17/03/2024
Parked at the Creagneash Quarry, walked around toward the Tearoom, then up past the Reservoir, to the first pillbox. Highest point appears to he the mound east of westernmost pillbox. I visited the roof of each structure and mound just to make sure. Back to the car via the same route, all within 30mins.chillyman828/10/2023
From Cregneash car park - via the Chambered Cairn. Visited all lumps and bumps - natural or disturbed ground.summitsup29/09/2023
From Port Erin up tarmac to near crest then path past stone circle to pillbox. REturned by row then out to Bradda Head and up to Bradda Hill. Returned on path to NE then SE to reach track followed out and over gc to town.SS14/09/2023
Third visit, in the evening after tackling the three hills to the north. I'm still in doubt as to where the true summit lies amongst the many artificial moundsColin Crawford31/08/2023
Corrina, Joe, Tom and I parked in the carpark and then had a quick stroll up the track to the summit in very windy conditions. Fantastic views, interesting military remains and a Neolithic stone circle. Well worth a revisit and possible picnic on better weather.fnem18/08/2023
After lunch in Port Erin station cafe, walked up the road to the plateau and wandered round the likely high spots. Then went down the A road to Port St Mary station.IanHHill16/10/2022
Revisit for trig bolt on pillbox, from NW, layby, good path via Mull Circle, stone circle. Moody view of the Calf and Burroo, which we summitted 3 days ago.RHW27/09/2022

Circular hike from Port Erin Harbour - followed the Raad ny Foillan (Way of the Gull) coastal path. Stopped at The Sound Cafe for refreshments and to enjoy the view of the Calf of Man (an island and nature reserve separated from the Isle of Man by a small body of water called Calf Sound). Carried on to Burro0 Ned (a hillfort) - Spanish Head - Black Head - Cronk ny Arrey (to bag a trigpoint) - Mull Hill (Neolithic chambered cairn and pillboxes) - Cregneash Folk Village 9a living museum) - Port Erin Harbour. Total distance: 7.5 milesmanilena27/03/2022
From village car park. Through village to minor road to the west of the summit, then up hill on good tracks. (Route from the footpath to the east is shorter, but involves climbing up through areas of gorse without a path).Winterfloodian25/03/2022
Five days after climbing Mull Hill by the easy tourist route, I did it the proper way, from sea level. Started at the end of the public road in Port St Mary and walked the lovely coast path via the Chasms, Spanish Head, the cafe, then N towards Port Erin and cut across to Mull Hill over the 147m hill to the N of Bay Fine. Missed the easy way and instead crossed hideous bog and drainage ditch pushing through gorse and brambles onto a track then the road. S on the road 100m to a footpath up to the stone circle and summit. Back to Port St Mary through Cregneash and upper footpath starting from Chasms car park. Lovely!Gill210/12/2021
Drive up from SC 1881 6742.jonglew08/12/2021
Grim conditions up here with Jon this evening just a short while after sunset and it was not a place to be hanging around in the bleak cold and wet.Alex C08/12/2021
Used large P area off A31 just E of Cregneash. Rather surreal summit area.ger08/12/2021
From the minor road west of the hill, where there are parking places at the end of the good path to the top. Best climb onto the top of the pillbox where there is a small cairn. A short and very easy tick at sunset. With Chris.Gill06/12/2021

Last two hills of the day. Parked in Cregneesh car park then through village and up easy track to summit of Mull Hill, a sea of old buildings/Pillboxes on top and probably the easiest Marilyn we have done, from here we walked back through village and up country lane, then through open gate into field and through another field gate to summit of Cronk Ny Arrey with the big radar on top. From here we went back down to car park. Earlier that day bagged Bradda Hill, Lhiattee Ny Beinnee and Cronk Ny Arrey Laa in 9.7 mile walk and earlier that morning bagged South Barrule. Full cloud but good views of the surrounding area and across the sea.DanTrig22/10/2019
1 of 2: Parked on the seafront at Port Erin. Steep narrow lane most of the way, then by the stone circle. With Karen.ChrisR18/10/2019
Village car park, easy stroll from there. Nice tea shop down by the museum.iangalbraith14/10/2019
Evening walk from Port Erin, windy but fairly sunny. The chambered cairn is amazing, unique and beautifully located. From there it's a short stroll to the top of the hill, where there is a ruined Bronze Age barrow surrounded by military remains. Lovely views all round. The perfect introduction to our week on Man.thesweetcheat17/08/2019
Walking round from Port St Mary on coast path, off at Chasms. After tea shop onto Mull Hill top w bunker and trig bolt. With Jenx and Bryhernordicstar09/08/2019
Mostly coast path walking from St Mary's to port Erin and then onto Bradda Hill. With R and B.jenx09/08/2019
From the village car park. Walked around to the track access from the minor road to the west of the village, could have parked at its entrance and saved a few minutes, or scrambled up the slate bank behind the car park.Owen B19/06/2019
With Val. From car park at Cregneash. Path through gorse to summit. Took a better path with less gorse on the descent.mike.hoult11/06/2019
I walked across to here after walking along the coast. I got on top of the pillbox to find the trigpoint bolt.Alancache11/06/2019

Final tump of the day on a 10.4km route from Port St. Mary (preceeded by Boat trip to Calf of Man and the climb of Buroo). AFter Cronk Ny Arrey I took the lane to Cregneash to sample Coffee and cake before continuing to the car park scrambling to the top at the back and continuing to the summit area. I recorded 172m at the edge of a Concrete Octagonal shape @ SC 19210 66956, 171m on a grassy mound (natural!)@ SC 18987 67659, 172m @ SC 18989 67660 and 171m SC 18993 67673,an earthern mound, banking Bunker, the base of which has natural embedded rock. Continuation to explore the unusual chambered cairns in a stone circle arrangement (most unusual) then I took a lane all the way into Port Erin, to take bus to Colby to explore the Glen before my journey back to Douglas...Dazingdale18/07/2018

Curious jumble of ancient and concrete ruins around summit- very quick ascent from the top of the Cregneash to Port Erin road, parking spaces. Would have included some coastal path in a longer walk (recommended) but needed to take it easy-ish with a bad cold.pwheeler13/06/2017

Walked from car park at Creagneash. Short, circular walk, of about a mile. Reasonable views, lots of world war 2 pill box bunkers at the top, site of a radar station. Tea room at Creagneash is lovely.Lazylizzie20/04/2014
Car park at Creagnesh. Just under 1 mile.bolton08/10/2013
Car park in Creagneash – Along footpath & then W. to summit (Rock by pill box) – S. down track & then walked through village back to car. (PM)gerrybowes08/10/2013
An easy one to finish off the day. Parked near the old village of Cregneash SC190676. Lots of old pill boxes at the summit. Geoff (later M6PYG) and I chose one to do the activation.G4OOE14/09/2013
Repeat climbed with Jim Bloomer and Michael Earnshaw as in the area. Very difficult to know where the non man made summit is.Dugswell213/04/2013
From shore at Port Erin up through houses and up the road to highest point. Then briefly up to summit which was underneath an old pill-box. Return partly via path parallel to road but not very helpful. Finish 10:10. Fine day, good views.dbb13/04/2013
