Parked in big layby opposite Ddol Bach - footpath to the N then SE between the two 300 m contours - take your pick. | jrj | 03/11/2023 |
As others from parking to the south. | Alan Caine | 16/07/2022 |
No log, but tiny gap at SH85613 73906. Not sure a good idea to fill a firebreak with tinder-dry (slightly irritating) brash. | Martin R | 10/06/2022 |
For the second time today, thankful for Aye Jimmy's log. Good parking to S. at 855738, along track for 100m or so & then a short, fairly obvious path through trees to the brash-strewn firebreak - Visited the summit stump & a couple of other nearby stumps that were of similar height. | gerrybowes | 27/04/2022 |
As AJ (with thanks).Quite a struggle up the ride with crutches due to large amounts of dead branches. | GordonAdshead | 26/03/2022 |
As Aye Jimmy. | TK | 15/03/2022 |
Visited all 300m contours | Adrian | 06/02/2022 |
From large parking spot to S at SH 8549.7386. Through small metal gate, along track and after about 115m enter wood on left, just before silver birch log lying across ditch. Only 20m to diagonal firebreak. Up this to summit. Several stumps and bumps to choose from. Unsuccessful trying to locate northerly high point in pines, gorse, brambles and bracken. Nothing definite found. | Aye Jimmy | 29/08/2021 |
Parked to W. Best to follow paths to E side for easy approach to summit (leave path at SH 85621 74026). Directly from path to W is BAD - dense young spruce interspersed with gorse! Summit is open woodland, a few competing knolls. N summit a level area choked with gorse, which I looked down on from a nearby tree stump | RHW | 16/04/2021 |
Very prickly this one. Alternate summit visited too just in case. | Alex C | 08/04/2020 |
