The road on the E side is very narrow and has neither passing places nor parking places. Limited parking on sloping rocky patch (beware grounding) by phone box at SH155263. The RoW, NE, to Pwlldefaid was an impassable quagmire. Took to tarmac W of phone box for 100m then waymarked tk signed Talcen Foel (ignore any PRIVATE signs, its a RoW). Waymarkers ceased at the property (surprise), go 90 R on narrow PF to black gate and onto OA. To avoid worst of wind-stunted gorse take very thin FP, L, at white house | Isbjorn | 31/01/2024 |
Parked by chapel walked all the way around to the other side of the hill to house where there is a path up to summit, down path opposite back toward main path | Tribal2er | 14/10/2023 |

Parked just down the road from the start of the public footpath. Nice neighbour let us park on driveway as going out. Left some cider to say thank you. Clear path up and down past an interest gate decorated with lions, muskets and birds. | Hippy77 | 12/02/2023 |
Good, but probably temporary, parking in front of cottage to be refurbed at 155274. Good views of peninsula and Bardsey. | lordtonult | 07/11/2022 |
Very limited parking to ENE, up good path that heads south initially before turning to NW and up to summit. | PeterD | 14/08/2022 |
8.8 mile circular from Aberdaron. Along minor roads north-west to Anelog then ascending by Gors Farm up to Mynydd Anelog's summit. We followed the coast path south to Mynydd Mawr (very spectacular cliff scenery here) then carried on over Pen Y Cil and along coast path back to Aberdaron. 625m ascent. Started in glorious sunshine but finished off in sea fog. Quite a few people about. | DanTrig | 17/06/2022 |
Exhilarating circuit of the end of the Llyn Peninsula from Aberdaron via Whistling Sands and the coast path. Detoured to the summit of Mynydd Anelog on a day of sun, wind and choughs. Masters of the air. Thanks to Lesley and Ikuko. 12.5 miles, 2240ft ascent. | GWR Chris | 03/10/2021 |

Up the track from the chapel, followed a track through the low gorse bushes to the summit. A lovely bunch of choughs there! Went straight over to join the coastal track then stayed at the hedge boundary to return to the track. Lovely views. | pog100 | 10/08/2020 |
Walked from Aberdarron with L. | stever | 19/07/2020 |
From chapel/telephone box, made a loop first going up the side of chapel on narrow grassy track, exit to fields up to a pair of cottages, one in multicolours the other with a variety of metal animals etc... welded to gates/fence. Straight up from there. Return headed to right of cottages and picked up alternative track down. 7/7 Marilyn | N.Morters | 17/07/2020 |

From Aberdaron along road to path just after Pwildefaid, good obvious path to top, down South track to telephone box (would be a good parking spot for bag and go), back around paths and tracks to Aberdaron. In total took about 1hr 30 mins. | JulieB | 14/08/2019 |
From SSE starting at chapel and ascending via Bod-Isaf. | Topographer57 | 04/08/2019 |

From campsite at the end of the road to Mynydd y Gwyddel. Circular route along coast to Pen y Cil, then inland on road just before Aberdaron to Mynydd Anelog and coastal path to Mynydd Mawr and campsite. With Gillian. Mike and Harriet joined for the first part. Lovely sunset from Mynydd y Gwyddel after dinner. | richard69 | 14/04/2018 |
A splendid walk with Twice Shy (Alex) from the chapel. Up via the Pwlldefaid path to the east (one short boggy section) and then the cottages below the hill. Nice grassy path to the top, and lovely views. Back via the western path and track. | Gill | 09/03/2018 |
Feel more at ease with this hill now, after the revisit, because the first time I was up here was before I'd started bagging. Stunning views eastwards right back to high snow covered Snowdonian peaks. And, of course, Ynys Enlli, which we'd only just returned from. Very memorable morning indeed. | Twice Shy | 09/03/2018 |
From chapel parking to SSW, followed tracks and paths to summit. | rhalstead | 24/12/2017 |
Pleasant circular walk on well marked paths from Uwchmynydd chapel on a very windy day - great viewpoint though the day wasn't clear. Promoted Marilyn not in my original list. | JohnIvor | 14/10/2017 |
This was to be a great day Marilyn bagging on the Lleyn in calm weather conditions while my friends got wet walking near Tryfan. I parked near the chapel and had an easy walk up from there. I met another Marilyn bagger from Scotland at the top and had a nice chat on the way back down. | Father Ted | 07/10/2017 |
With K from Chapel to S. Nice hill | Ashley | 25/07/2017 |
A few more days off work so I reasoned it was time to tidy up my North Wales Marilyns.
The expected rough weather scuppered any chance of boating to Bardsey but I decided to visit the missing Lleyn tops anyway.
First up turned out to Myn. Anelog. This because when I arrived in Porthmadog a biblical style thunderstorm rolled in.
The weather had cleared by the time I got to Aberdaron but the tops were still in mist.
Easy climb from the Uchmynydd chapel. Limited views when the mist parted. | stig_nest | 19/07/2017 |
Easily up from chapel as others and path to summit above top craft cottage. In mist so no views. | Lionel Bidwell | 15/07/2017 |
Space for several cars near chapel at SH155263 (note that there is another chapel shortly before you get to it). Went up via the track which starts just W of the chapel and heads NW. Circuit via the coastal path and coves on the way back. | webmaster | 26/06/2017 |
From the church, up the lane to it's left, then gated track to self-catering cottage. More gates and paths to open hillside and straight up ridge behind another cottage. Saw nowt due to low cloud. | Minto | 10/06/2017 |

Roadside parking at Ystolhelyg Bach and ascended on PRoW via Pwlldefaid. Descent via the PRoW to the west, which was the better route of the two used (via SH 15323 26710). | G4OBK (Phil) | 19/08/2016 |

Parking area by phone box and chapel in Ystolhelyg Bach. Well marked f/p towards Pwlldefaid, then below summit area ascending to the right of two hillside houses. What appears to be heather from a distance is actually short dense gorse, but a way through develops. Last Welsh and English Marilyn. | Aye Jimmy | 17/04/2016 |
Do not park north on strip of land north of Pwlldefaid farm, as a quagmire. Had to get local farmer to tow me out. Not the easiest task first thing on New Year's Day. Thanks Tomas. Once out and safely parked further along road walked up to summit and enjoyed the views of Bardsea Island. Never visited these peaks before enjoyed all six of marilyns done today. Company: Solo | iandesbottes | 01/01/2016 |
Late afternoon in December after working in area-in mist with no views. Took track from chapel and fairly easy to make out path to summit although it involved some doubling back by isolated cottages. Will have return on a clear day | Mark Sims | 16/12/2015 |
Solo. Parked near old chapel at Uwchmynydd. Path NE and then N. Cairn on summit but highest point a few m east. Returned on path and then track to the west of ascent route. | pwbellarby | 25/07/2015 |
Track (ROW) from church/phone box (parking). Past grumpy (I don't speak English) farmer, quite unpleasant, and onto top. Sunny and warm. | iangalbraith | 08/07/2015 |

Just enough space to park at start of the footpath to the east. Climbed up paths with K, Megs and Xan for a summit picnic before heading off to the beach at Porth Oer where they were filming the opening scenes of The Last Kingdom. Stunning views. | Herbert Anchovy | 09/04/2015 |

Returned the same way. Drenching hailstorm for most of the way. With Andy and James T. | Man of Kernow1 | 19/10/2013 |
This hill promoted in July and missed by Kate and I then. Drove from home, left car at 164268 (12:40) and walked along road, up past farm and then hillside to top. Hazy but fair views. Back via NW end of ridge & back to farm; finish 13:50 | dbb | 06/10/2013 |

A 55 min return walk from Umchmynydd chapel. Delightful summit, easy paths through colourful heath, gorse. Brilliant colour in the late afternoon sunshine to round off a great day- we'd been on Bardsey earlier. The views showed what beautiful unspoilt countryside the Lleyn peninsula has,not a windfarm in sight.Special thanks to SOTA bagger Mick Coad, who informed me of Mynydd Analog's promotion BEFORE I went on holiday in Caernarfon with my brother Pete. Pete was especially grateful, closing in on all the Welsh Marilyns with Bardsey visited today. | pwheeler | 18/09/2013 |

slightly misted, fascinating metal animal sculptures adorning the gate and approaches to the house just below its east side. Also, being day of the full moon, my bag was followed by mad dash across the Pennines to join 'Encircling the Land with Sacred dance' circle dancing in Leo, that evening, held for first time in Selby Abbey!! Two bits of madness in one day!! | vegibagger | 21/08/2013 |

Parked to NE just passed farm track which was then followed to gain hillside. Steep direct ascent was rewarded with a good view of Bardsey Island. Saw Martin Richardson's Van but managed to avoid him this time. Looks tall enough to be a full Marilyn. | Dugswell2 | 05/03/2011 |
