Snowdon horseshoe with the kids - great!nix_snilloc20/10/2016
From Crib Goch on round of horseshoe. Into the cloud for this and its ridge was unexpected but I was having fun by now. Had forgotten about the train until it hooted through the mist! Met a couple on my descent to join Llanberis path and the hordes.niallp30/09/2016

The Pen-y-Pass car park was “llawn” by 9.15 when I drove past so I parked in Llanberis and caught the bus to Pen-y-Pass and took the Pyg track and then the path up to Crib Goch which rapidly became a scramble. The ridge walk was exhilarating to say the least. This was definitely the hardest I've done (not that I've done them all) and definitely a lot harder than Striding Edge. Although I was on my own, I rapidly caught up the people in front and, since you can't really overtake, we ended up as a group of about 10 people. Crossed the ridge with a combination of walking, sitting and standing on lower ledges. After an easy section, another scramble up Crib y Ddysgl (but I was an expert by now) and then down the grassy slopes to the main Snowdon path, stayed with the railway after Clogwyn Station to Llechog and then back down to the Snowdon path for a rapid descent. Had a well-earned beer in Llanberis.tsharp02/06/2016

1065 - On way to summit of Snowdon. I dropped the lucozade bottle and Nia was unable to catch it, so we just had to watch it fall down the mountain.Rob-Nia27/05/2016
Super extended horseshoe route- it's been ten years since I last did it and I'd forgotten how much fun it is, especially Crib Goch. Route from Pen-y-Pass: Crib goch, Crib y Ddysgl, Yr Wyddfa, Y Lliwedd, Y Liwedd East Top, Lliwedd Bach & Gallt Y Wenallt, then a yomp back across the valley to pick up the Miners' path near the car park. And all on a four hour parking fee...though I was a bit late getting back...Cas-gwent24/05/2016

3rd Summit of the Day, From Pen-Y-Gwyrd hotel to Pen Y pass up Craig Fach then Crib Goch. It was a surprise to find a path heading to Crib Y Ddysgyl but then the scrambling started again with the path interspersed between, finally leading to a flattish summit with the trig point. Conditions turned from quite sunny with good views to Glaslyn to really misty and windy. I was the only one on the summit of Crib Y Ddysgyl at the time, a complete contrast to Snowdon about 15 minutes later. Completed my journey by going on to summit Snowdon and then the horseshoe of hills leading to Llanberis.Dazingdale08/07/2014
