From Croesor: Cnicht, Cnicht North Top, Moel-yr-hydd, Moelwyn Mawr North Top, Moelwyn Mawr, Craigsgafyn. With a small group from Hiking Manchester. Day started brigt and clear, then became very misty and difficult to navigate. Had to abandon walk and miss out Moelwyn Bach. One for another day...Lazylizzie02/11/2019

Parked at croesor, circular walk. Ascent to cnicht, followed path to edge of llyn yr Adar, took a south towards the quarry, ascent to moelwyn mawr, decent down craigysgfan, then west down valley to road.noxibis17/11/2018
From Croesor. Road SW then track to join the west ridge. With Val as far as the steep section of the ridge then solo to summit. Good clear views.mike.hoult06/10/2018
This was a great walk. Not sunny but dry and cloud was generally quite high. Great view of Porthmadog and other tops. Loved the ruined quarry landscapes. Hard to comprehend how huge these quarries were and how many people they employ unless you actually go there and walk round. Started in Tanygrisia and up to Rhosydd Quarry, Moel-yrHydd, past the huge 'twll', North Ridge Top, Moelwyn Mawr,Craigysgafn, Moelwyn Bach, down to Croesor village, Cnicht, North Top and then back to the quarry via the col and down to Tanygrisia.tsharp10/09/2018

A lovely sunny in the Moelwyns. From Croesor via Moel-yr-hydd..milimana09/06/2018
Start from Beddgelert, return via Moelwyn Bach and Cnicht back to Beddgelert, 20.8 miles.stephenbuda17/05/2018
From Tanygrisiau. Up the hard road towards the reservoir. Missed the path to right and found myself at the reservoir. From there a steep ascent was needed to gain the east ridge. Down NE ridge to extensive disused slate quarry buildings at the Allt Fawr col, then back down the slate track.Topographer5710/05/2018
From layby on south side of Tanygrisiau. Solo. After ascending Moelwyn Bach descended on west side and then went up old incline on the west side of Craigysgafn. Then easily gained summit of Craigysgafn. Followed path to summit of Moelwyn Mawr (next to trig point). Visibility poor so rather unnecessarily descended WNW before going N and E to pass over the col between Moelwyn Mawr and Moelwyn Mawr North Ridge Top and back to Tanygrisiau.pwbellarby09/04/2018
From Tanygrisiau. Foel Ddu, Moel-Yr-Hydd, Moelwyn Mawr North Ridge Top, Moelwyn Mawr, Craigysgafn, Moelwyn Bach and Craig Stwlan. Cold day with plenty of snow but some good views.Alunrees3329/11/2017

Warm sunshine all day but a cold breeze aswell.apricorum24/03/2017

From Moel-yr-Hedd. Looking like rain and would serve me right for extending the walk to cover every nobble. Great summit. On to Craigysgafn.Wycombe Wanderer16/09/2016
Linear walk over Allt Fawr and Moelwyn Mawr, starting at Crimea Pass and ending at Tanygrisiau, making some bad route choices on the way. Route and write-up at: http://gayleybird.blogspot.co.uk/2016/08/allt-fawr-and-moelwyn-mawr.htmlGayle14/08/2016
did on a round with Cnicht and Moelwyn Fach.IanHHill18/07/2016
parked in Tan-y-Grisiau by village pond and walked up to the dam. Two local families out sunbathing at the dam with loud pop music - fun! Up the steep path on Craig Ysgafn for SOTA activation. I lost the path from the plateau by the 2 pools/ holes (old slate workings) down to the access road about halfway and ended up exploring the slate workings, descending the inclined planes - interesting.M0YDH03/06/2016

Solo. Wet & Windy. Cloud levels variable. Direct line taken from Moel-yr hydd Thick cloud on the summit demanded a navigation check to pick up the line for Cragysgafn. (becomes obvious before long)Aimless Rambler27/01/2016
