From Nantgwynant via Watkin's Path. Onwards to Snowdon summit. Descend from Snowdon via south ridge and climbed to summit of Yr Aran. Return via path making a descending traverse north of the east ridge, pausing to look at disused mine workings (marked) from which old mining tramways were used to return to the valley bottom and return to the starting point. Repeat visit (also March 2008) with M & X. Dropped off at Bethania by Mrs Anchovy, up the Watkins Path to Plas Cwm-llan, left up to mine workings and then up on to ridge and then summit. Basked in surprisingly warm sunshine on the top. Then on to Craig Wen before descending to a pub in Beddgelert where we met up again with Mrs A. Just over 10 km.Herbert Anchovy30/10/2018
From car park at Rhyd Ddu station £2-50 up Snowdon path. Went over first stile at the quarry & headed up the hill. Would have been better to have continued & gone up the path beside a dry stone wall.rogreeves19/10/2018
