From Gearhane with D. Dave. Heavy cloud, drizzle and gales. Really challenging.bolton08/05/2023
Came up from Derrymore via Gearhane. Wind and rain. No views. Shame because descended by a lovely narrow grassy ridge towards Baurtregaum. With bolton.Dangerous Dave08/05/2023
From minor road to W, just S of the pass, via Caherbla and afterwards to Bautregaum.IanHHill23/04/2023
Climbed Gearhane, Caherconree, Baurtgaum, Baurtgaum-nw-top, Baurtgaum-far-n/e-top starting and finishing at DerrymoreDanny Devlin11/07/2022
1/5. Caherconree then out to Gear and and back. East to Col and contour round to Baurtregaum NW top. Then Baurtregaum itself then over East top subsidiary to Far NE top. Back via Dingle way and roads. About 16 miles. Hellish descent via stream. Use shoulder of the NE top.nickywood111/05/2019
Solo. From the minor road to the west. From the start of the rough path to Caherconree (promontory fort) where there is limited parking. Followed path, which is marked on the ground with posts but is not marked on the OSi 1:50,000 map. Continued to summit cairn of Caherconree and on to Baurtregaum. Returned same way. Thick mist all the time and rain most of the time.pwbellarby23/07/2018
Route: Derrymore - Scragg - Baurtregaum - Caherconree - Gearhane - Derrymore Strand Approx. Stats: 5.5hrs, 12km, 950m ascent Weather: windy & misty on peaks, but no rain; fine at low altitudes Notes: v. challenging ascent/descent due to lack of paths & lots of gorse/heather etc.millionmts21/10/2016
Climbed in very bad weather, so can't tell you much apart from marker stakes half the way up to the remains of a fort.jimclinch06/08/2010
