With Tom. From Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre to Dunlewy Post Office. Wet & windy. No views sadly. Darkness falling on descent & headtorch required for walk out along R251 road. (5/5)millionmts13/11/2021
Done en route from Portrush to Dungloe from the car park on the south side. Solo. Went straight up from the car park – not a good choice as it’s very boggy – better to start somewhat W of the car park (route used on return). Path up SE ridge of Errigal is obvious but faint paths on the approach are not. Went beyond the summit to the NNW top. Very misty of the higher parts.pwbellarby29/06/2017
Beautiful late afternoon up from CP on R251. Easy compared to other, smaller hills in Donegal.IanHHill07/04/2017
Large car park alongside the R251 at B94301 19726 - WSW out of car park & along road for about 80m & then headed over the moor along faint paths to the start of the SW ridge - Good path up the ridge to the unmarked summit and NW Top. (PM)gerrybowes02/04/2015
From the car park at 943198 we headed 100 metres west on the road and then took a less boggy path to the cairn on the ridge. An enjoyable ridge climb in mist to the summit and the north west top as well. With GB in just over 2 hours.bolton02/04/2015
With Andy and Margaret. Fairly wild start weatherwise, but quietened down quickly. A steepish ascent to a glorious top, with sadly limited views due to the cloud. Rain came down on the descent but our spirits couldn't be dampened. Great for me to finally do Donegal's county top.James McKnight24/10/2014

Climbed from the main road through the National Park area south of hill. I didn’t like it he narrow ridge summit in wind but friendly farmers with his dogs happened along so he and Ian manhandled me back to easier ground. Looks great from Donegal coastnickywood112/05/2009

A lovely mountain. Climbed with Ali and parents. Clear day and a really odd phenomenom. Very windy all the way up and all the way down, but the area around the twin summits was completely calm.paddyirish15/02/2006

With a school friend climbed straight up from the Dunlewy hostel. Turned out to be not such a good idea but we eventually got out of the gullies onto the ridge and top. Came back down by the ridge to find the local shop shut, no dinner that night.PN_Runner12/07/1988
First climbed Errigal in 1980 by the "Tourist Route" up from the car park on the N56 (B943197) and many times since. The way up is very worn. The summit is a small rocky airy top, the second of two separated by a narrow trough. There are magnificent vieHarry Goodman01/08/1980
