From Doonane woods carpark ie from the west, on forestry/ aerial track all the way. 10 miles round trip, 500 m of gain. No gates. Would be good on a bike. Some nice beechwood sections. Good views from the top. Trig and wind shelter and two aerials on summit plateau. Waymarked route with a variant on lower section with map at carpark. | Denise | 25/06/2023 |

From Doonane Wood. Views over Shannon Lakes and Estuary and to The Galtee Mts. OS map not needed - the Display map in the CP was perfectly adequate. | IanHHill | 01/05/2019 |
