Started at keadeen trailhead to the east and returned same way..Danny Devlin11/02/2022
Paddy Dillon's track into the forest was festooned with about four locked gates and unfriendly signs, so I retreated to another route I had spied. From Ballinabarny Gap, about 2km south of Dwyers Cottage, there is a forest road; fork left twice and from its end a path leads out on to the hillside. Follow this to gain the east ridge of Keadeen and then all the way to the top.IanHHill02/11/2021
Last mountain on a 3-day bagging trip with Adrian. Beautiful views all around from the summit, with the bonus of a large cairn and trig at the topmazz23/02/2020
Short walk in lovely sunshine with bright gorse, but a bit tired after yesterday Glen Imaal walk. As per Paddy Dillon book, Dwyer's cottage interesting on the way down, baby conifer trees not so interesting on the way up!nickywood113/05/2016
Via the forest track 300m NW of the Dwyer-McAllister carpark, then up a boundary (with collapsed wall) between newish and mature conifers. Stile onto open hillside.jimbloomer15/09/2015
Summit 11/11. A horseshoe walk of 41.1kms done in 13hrs and 5mins. Started up Church Mountain 544m, went around the forest and up Corriebracks 531m and then on to Lobawn 636m. Followed the tracks as much as possible and Table Mountain 702m and Camenabologue 758m. Then left the normal tracks and did Camenabologue SE Top 663m, Benleagh 689m, and then up Lugnaquilla 925m and then took the tack down to Slievemaan 759m and Ballineddan Mountain 652m. Headed to the road between Ballineddan Mountain and Keadeen Mountain and took some shortcuts and forest tracks up to the summit of Keadeen Mountain 653m and took a steep descent to the small country roads near Spinans Hill. Followed the small country roads/lanes back towards Davidstown where we hitched back to the car!simoburn18/02/2014
ventured up here today. Was quite a heavy covering of snow and it made it quite difficult to determine whether we are actualy walking on snow or about to sink into a bog until we took each step. Was fun though. Slipped umpteen times on the way down. Quite deceivingly steep. Well worth the visit :DLizzie Murray18/01/2013
Climbed from the Dwyer McAllister cottage. Glorious views to the west and southcormacg17/07/2009
nice grassy summit (mist). from road to W RHW13/06/2004
Approximate date! I remember summiting Keadeen with some of my army buddies when we were based in the Glen of Imaal during our military training. I think it was just before our first overseas tour. The summit always loomed tantalisingly over the camp so it was a great buzz to go for it one evening. The light was closing in so it was a straight up and down approach...an exhilarating adventure with some of my comrades!Gerry the Ranger30/09/1997
