Parked by the gated entrance to the RTE access road - Up access road to the compound fence - Trig point (Sligo top) is at the far side of compound - From compound it was about 500m walk across trackless moor to the cairn marking the high point of Leitrim. (PM)gerrybowes02/04/2015

grass/rock summit, large cairn, dominated by mast, remember to visit E Cairn (Sligo Co Top). from beside wood due S of Truskmore: no access allowed via transmitter road RHW01/06/2004
This top and Truskmore E Cairn can be easily combined to bag two tops in one walk. The E Cairn is some 500m down the side of the mountain at spot height 630m.Harry Goodman10/02/2001
