From ESE, N end of surfaced farm track, which continues unpaved N then main track W to summit; descended direct to our starting point. Had planned to make standard approach from E, but this made a nice route. Showery evening, last hill of the day, then into Moneymore for food.RHW03/05/2015

fa, with wife, misty then heavy rain, parked by windy castle cp then walked to the summit via the transmitter returned to the col and left the track and followed a bog track then sign posts to the sw top of slieve gallon, returned to track and down to carpark. drove round to park by friars rock and took a lane into davagh forest, on the brow out over boggy / wet ground to ought mores summit and back to the car.rum doodle 01/11/2008
