first ascent, 2 in party, cool with showers, 22.6km a long path less route over several hills with stretches of bog, crossing the bluestack way, a wind farm, a metal statue and a hill with a log book, and an old lane to return along, summits climbed :- bin bane west, bin bane east, cloghmeen hill, carnaween ( visitor log book and metal statue), cullaghacro & binnasruel. strangely, giving the terrain we were back at the car in reasonable time. | rum doodle | 01/05/2010 |
