| Parked at Bwlch Penbarra car park (only £1.50 for the whole day). Firstly popped to the top of Foel Fenlli, before returning to the car to collect my rucksack for the longer journey north over Moel Famau, Moel Dywyll, Moel Llys-y-coed, then a big descent and ascent to Moel Arthur, and Moel Plas-yw. As no car to collect me, I had to walk south back along the ridge to Bwlch Panbarra. | Bwlch Penbarra car park is essentially an 'honesty box' car park. There are no prominent signs showing a parking fee, or a penalty for not paying. The 2 remaining machines are out of the way, unsigned. The council clearly knows that any parking ticket could be contested and they would lose. | The no. 76 bus from Llanbedr to Llangwyfan allows a fabulous linear walk taking in 4 Marilyns: Penycloddiau, Moel Famau, Foel Fenlli and Moel Gyw. Mainly easy going on the Offa's Dyke path, with a few steep deviations onto the summits. Superb views and wonderful little hills.
