Approach from east to Bwlch Drws-Ardudny (initially on good forest tracks - some signage). Visited Rhinog Fawr then Rhinog Fach. Very impressive hills with a character of their own. Good summit views, but mist prevented clear distant views - could just make out the sea.ger27/02/2019
Parked at cwm bychan. Ascent via roman steps, Llyn Du to summit of Rhinog Fawr. Descended north west, over stone wall to heather pleateu. Headed north, over wall and down to gloyw Lyn and back to car. Some cloud on top, but occasionally broke to views of Snowdon to the north.noxibis05/01/2019
Climbed from Graigddu-Isaf via Pistyll Gwyn, Roman steps, Bwlch Tyddiad and Llyn Du. Return by similar route but more direct path taken from Llyn Du towards Pistyll Gwyn. Cracking day. Hot, sunny though slightly hazy. With school group (year 8) and instructor John. Excellent mountain. Very rugged and rocky but nowhere difficult, unless you twist your ankle! Highest point appears to be a large cairn east of the trig point.jamessteel10004/07/2018

From the minor road and stunning forest walk to the east, my map reading let me down finding the approach but once found this is a cracking mountainbardolph28/09/2017
Very tough. Came in from east to cairn at top of Bwlch Drws Ardudwy. Couldn't find path north so sort of made my own way which wasn't easy. Eventually found a bit of a path nearer to the top. Came down through scree to flat area below col. Then on to Fach.Mark Sims01/09/2017
Rhinog Fawr, Rhinog Fach, Y Llethr, Crib-y-rhiw, Diffws, Diffws West Top. Followed route in Nuttall's book. Couldn't find anyone at the farm so I left £2 parking fee in the porch. Weather had closed in by the end and it was a long day, made the mistake of following the bridleway at GR634240 on the map instead of getting The Nuttalls book out of my rucksack! Should have turned off at GR 640242 and headed for the gate at GR637246.tsharp07/06/2017

From the car park in the east near Craigddu isaf, good path up to the bwlch tyddiad. scrambled due south over the nameless hump and rejoined a path up Rhinog Fawr. A good rough hill.David Bell02/05/2017
Late afternoon climb, chasing the sunlight. Climbed from Cwm Bychan. Mostly clear with a bitterly cold wind. Fantastic views in the afternoon sun from the summit.MarkGD26/12/2016

From Graigddu-isaf. Climbed Rhinog Fawr North top Rhinog Fawr and Rhinog Fach. Weather was superb clear blue skies no wind. There was frost on sheltered slopes that remained all day. Saw plenty of Wild Goats. Would not want to navigate this in poor visibility. The rocks were very slippery throughout.isabelle30/11/2013

A great, stand alone mountain, climbed from Cwm Bychan on a hot day. Interesting scramble up direct from Llyn Du. A group of us had a refreshing skinny dip in Gloyw Llyn, quite magical.Jake99426/08/2013
LAST WET DAY BEFORE A FINE SPELL SO WENT UP RHINOG FAWR TO SHORTEN NUTTALLS WALK 9.1 OVER THE OTHER RHINOGS. MISTY ON TOP AND DIFFICULT TO FIND WAY OFF AS ALL PATHS LOOKED SIMILAR. STARTED TO RAIN ON THE WAY DOWN AND VERY WET UNDERFOOT BUT MADE A GOOD HALF DAY OF IT.BURGESS17/08/2013

First real hillwalking of the year - and it's May! Came up from the NW, down to the S. No real exposure or scrambling but lots of clamering over rocks. Slow going at times.Father Ted12/05/2012
