A great walk through the beech woods to this summit which took just over the hour. With GB.bolton13/09/2014
Parked at the Mullaghmeen Forest car park (N47952 779110) - Took the left-hand track out of the car park & followed the Red Route to the track junction at N47023 78956 - Turned left & followed the White Route for about 300m - Turned right up the track & then path to the summit cairn. Great views, long drive, 35 minute walk...Roen23/07/2011
From forest car park used map to figure out route. Clearing at summit so reasonable view. Pleasant walk about 3/4 hour. It was harder to navigate to car parknickywood106/05/2011

A pure walk in the park.Audi-Anne08/08/2008
This is the highest point in Westmeath - nowhere near the Mourne mountains!Johnjoes17/03/2007
Described by Clements in his book The Height of Nonsense as The Hihhest Lowest. Care needs to be taken to ensure you go to the highest point as there are a number of cairns on route. A GPS reading will help.Harry Goodman17/05/2005
nice mixed woodland, summit with ancient cairn, benches and narrow view NW. open access from 482799, track bends round R, small unmapped steep path L, R at top, track past E top then path W to summit RHW08/05/2005
Ran over the top during an Orienteering Event. It was one of those "over the top or around" route choices.PN_Runner10/03/1989
