With Cary on a clockwise circuit from Tan-y-pistyll on a lovely summer's day - 24 km, 8 hours.Phreerunner01/06/2017
Second top on a mammoth 11 hour hike from Oswestry to the milltir certificate pass to pick up my car. Very confusing up here in the thick fog. Thick bog.tumpawumpa12/04/2017
thers not alot of parking for this walk as anne and john say in there book THE MOUNTAINS OF ENGLAND AND WALES very hard under foot as it was cold and had been snowing this is a boggy walk so my advise is do it in the hight of winter or summer as you will get wetDarren-44310/02/2017
Solo walk. Start/finish in Tyn-y-Ffridd. Climbed Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen, Tomle, Cadair Berwyn (both tops), Moel Sych, Moel yr Ewig and Godor ... basically Nuttall route minus Cadair Bronwen. 5 hours. Weather horrendous at times ... squally showers, gales, cold, but sunny spells in afternoon. A good walk; few paths and boggy in places but the escarpment of the main ridge is impressive, especially view of Llyn Lluncaws. Cadair Berwyn is really a forgotten mountain of Wales, despite its height ... saw nobody all day!jamessteel10022/12/2016
Solo walk during a weekend trip to Llangollen for a friend's Birthday. Tyn-y-ffridd - Godor - along Nuttalls to Cadair Berwyn - north as far as Moel yr Henfaes - back to Cadair Bronwen - over Tomle ridge - back to Tyn-y-ffridd. Amazing weather with a cloud inversion.AGWilliamson17/12/2016
With Minnie, from small parking area by bridge 119 307, along road-Cwm Maen Gwynedd, up slope to Tomle col, up onto Craig Berwyn great cloud inversion & warm sunshine above cloud, back down into cloud over Tomle, Foel Wen 'tops', Mynydd Tarw & Rhos. Down to track & road to car.apricorum30/10/2016

A big day for me today. My last 10 Nuttalls (excl. Pillar Rock). Walked with Chris. Parking for 3 cars by the river off the road down from the phone box. Nuttall route plus detour to Moel Poethion. Should have known better than to hope for sunshine on this special day. At least the tops were clear and the showers intermittent. Excellent walk and not demanding.ijpowell01/08/2014

Walk 7.2 in the Nuttall book starting in Cwn Maen Gwynedd on a gloriously sunny day. There was a cold wind, especially crossing from Cadair Bronwen to Moel Sych via the two tops of Cadair Berwyn. Very boggy at times especially on the ridge form Mynydd Tarw to Tomla and over Moel yr Ewig to Godor. No issues with access or route finding.Fernhill11/03/2014
Start ~ 111314. With Ron, Bernard and Dave Breeze. Weather started ok then turned shocking, rain and strong winds. Did Tomle first then followed the ridge eventually to Rhos. Glad to get back to the car!steve hudson17/08/2013
