The two Beinn Maol Chaluim tops from the southern flank. Parking is possible in a long passing place just past the forest above Lochan Urr, then its a bit of a steep slog through long grass and bracken, aided initially by a very narrow muddy line taken by what looks like a mix of deer and Corbetteers. Terrain gets easier as you climb. The summit ridge is a joy to walk on and to gaze at the views in all directions. Highly recommended. 3.5hrs there and back.summitter31/10/2023
Solo from Glencoe campsite. From A82 bridge near Achnacon E side of Fionn Ghleann. Rising traverse over rough ground to Bealach Fhaolain. Following line of iron fence posts almost to summit. Retraced steps to Bealach Fhaolain then steeply down to river confluence at 300m NN 126 539. Much easier going on W side of Fionn Ghleann following iron fence posts above river back to A82.John Lee02/06/2023
From Glen Etive. Followed faint path most of the way up to the broad ridge and then aimed for the crags near the summit ridge. Followed ridge to summit and then returned same way. 3h 50min total time including stops.mproudfoot26/02/2023

From Glen Etive a bit of a scrappy slog to start but once on ridge very pleasant. No problems.dickscroop05/06/2022
Another sunny day for the Glen Etive Corbetts. Straightforward but found some fun scrambling on the outcrops on way up.davechaffey27/03/2022

From the Glencoe A82 side, decided against Glen Etive in case of difficulty parking, possible stalking, longer drive round from Fort William. Parked in layby just east of Allt na Muidhe. Over the stile opposite the layby. Faint path initially, but overgrown. East side of Fionn Ghleann, no path, slow going gradually ascending, many small burns to cross, eventually rising to 131541 to cross the trickiest. Found a grassy rake at 132548 leading to Bealach Fhaolain, then a straightforward pull to the summit. Lingered at the summit, watching Glen Etive valley fog gradually dissipate to reveal the Loch and mountain sides beyond. Gentle breeze keeping the bugs off, blue skies above, not a soul around, beautiful panorama. Retraced steps to the bealach, then descended directly to the glen, which was much better. Faint path on the west side of the glen by the fence posts, to 140m asl, then pathless west to meet the main asphalt track.Owen B28/08/2021

Climbed from Glen Etive with Kenny - 200th Corbett. Continued traverse of ridge and up onto Bidean to take in last munro tp of Stob Coire nam Beith. Bet not many people have climbed solely these two peaks on one walk - didn't go to Bidean's summitSpudGunn27/02/2019
A bit of a beast of a hill, with some seriously steep sections. The summit ridge is brilliant, and I got a couple of glimpses of the view through the persistent mist and the rain.Gill06/04/2017

Beinn Maol Chaluim South Top and Beinn Maol Chaluim from Glen Etive. Continuous rain.RobertP03/11/2016
Very steep initial (and descending) 100 vertical metres. Surprisingly tough ridge walk over lumps and bumps, but ultimately a simple ridge walk. Nice views.Jhimmy12/10/2016
Climbed with Andy Brown & Fred Hammond. Myself and Fred was going to attempt Bidean nan Bian, but severe snow prevented.Baggieboy16/01/2016
From Glen Etive. Fourth consecutive day of West Highland sunshine. Steep at first, long grass and bracken, try to follow animal tracks. Also steep higher up but no difficulties. Finally there is an impressive ridge.Topographer5708/09/2015

Two munro and a corbit from Glen Etive. Steep ascent to first summit (Sgreamach). Dramatic ridge towards summit of Bidean nam Bian, although quite busy. Very rock and trick descent to the last summit (Beinn Maol Challum). Camping in glen Etive with Brian.gercal5305/06/2010

Solo. Glean-leac-na-muidhe, Fionn Ghleann to Beinn Maol Chaluim & return. Showery & wet under foot. Fionn Ghleann has no real path but is a fine valley & would justify the title of Glen Coe's really Lost Valley!Vin12/09/2004

With: solo; Climb up NE from Bealach Fhionnghaill towards Bealach Fhaolain was OK. Dumped sack and quickly bagged the Corbett Beinn MC. Climb up the S side of Bidean nam B was complex. Very steep and loose. HB had descended this way!Ian Baines24/04/1998
