From large parking area just before bungalow outside Cynwyd: Bryn-llus; Pen Creigiau'r Barcut; Moel Fferna; Cerrig Coediog; Pen y lladron; Moel yr Henfaes. Sweltering day, for which we were ill prepared without sufficient water or suncream. Visited Liberty Hall but omitted the last 2 peaks we planned. Welcome meal at the Blue Lion at the end of the walk.Lazylizzie13/05/2023
From Hendre, up path east side of valley to track, up to bwlch over fence to top. Back along track in bottom of valley.Flatfield29/04/2023
12.1 mile circular from the old chapel at Pentre in the Ceiriog Valley. Just about space for one car there. We followed the valley road then took the path up to Pentre Pant farm. Just before the farm we forded the stream into access land and climbed up a track which double backs on itself, then follows the fenceline steeply up to Foel Goch. From here it is a easy but pathless walk across the moors to the deleted top Rhos. We then followed the easy trail over Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen South Top, Foel Wen, Tomle and took the contouring path around to Cadair Bronwen (first bagged in 2007) following the boggy path north to the memorial and up to Pen Bwlch Llandrillo, back to the memorial, then the Bwlch Llandrillo track and road back to the car at Pentre. Surprisingly an easy walk considering no one has ascended this way before! Glorious warm weather with wide views of the whole of North Wales. As it was Easter Saturday we must have seen about 10 people today. Amazingly busy for the Berwyns!DanTrig08/04/2023
Parked in the layby on the B4401 at Cynwyd. Through the village, over the river and took the path to 055403, along the minor road then the track all the way up to just before the memorial stone at 091367, then over then fence and up to the summit. Followed the footpath along the fence all the way to Moel Fferna bagging the Simm of Cefn Perfedd and the Dewey of Cerrig Coedig on the way. Back down Moel Ferna to pick up the North Berwyn Way back to Cynwyg.12.67 miles. Fine walk.JulieB02/10/2022

Great walk up from the lovely village of Cynwyd to Pen Bwlch Landrillo Top and Moel Fferna with Jess, never saw one person all day, very remote place if you like quiet walks.Buckleymon08/04/2022

Continued grand views, circuit from Moel Fferna. Descended via the byway, once at the pass noticeable bottles and cans discarded by the 4x4 brigade. I easily resisted any urge to bag NW top of Cadair Bronwen haha.Nick Canute06/03/2022

Indifferent day for weather. From forest above Cynwyd over Moel Fferna, Cefn Perfedd and Moel yr Henfaes. Contrary to map initial track towards Moel Fferna continues past forest edge to top of ridge, cut off it at an appropriate place. ridge path not up to much and descent track shown on map from near Moel yr Henfaes is in poor state, useful as a navigation aid only.dickscroop14/12/2021

A clockwise horseshoe around the valley of Afon Trystion visiting Bryn-llus, Pen Creigau’r Barcut, Moel Fferna, Cerrig Coediog, Cefn Perfedd, Moel yr Henfaes [Pen Bwlch Llandrillo Top], Y Drum and Moel yr Henfaes. 22.6km with 1000m ascent in 6h20m. (S)silveracorn_alan13/08/2021
Long walk up from Coed y Glyn. Nice little summit, good views.Taz3831/05/2021
Parked next to the shop in Cynwyd (no restrictions on sundays) and followed the Nuttall route East with a spur up to Liberty Hall to take in Bryn llus, from here I pressed on to Moel Fferna, along the ridge taking in Cerrig Coediog and Cefn Perfedd before arriving at the Nuttall top of Moel yr Henfaes, from here I followed the hills over Y Drum and the Dewey Moel yr Henfaes. If your lucky when striking out for the last top you'll walk over a grassy track heading North East which will take you back to Cynwyd forest albeit having to cross a grazing field at 07959 39525 to access the forest tracks that you follow left back to the car. Fourteen and half mile in Six and quarter hours.WAYNE ROWLETT09/05/2021

Llandrillo circular route to memorial, cadair bronwen, cadair berwyn and back. Very boggy and frozen - good way to lose a boot and get frostbite!Iam_JoshEdwards16/01/2021
From road end near Pentre. Very wet track up to the col, then not much of a path to this top. With B and R.jenx19/12/2020
From Rhos y maerdy, by the Wayfarer track to Nant y Cwm, then east to the heathery bwlch and NW to the summit. Then on to Y Drum and Pt. 621m, descending back to the cars by the Wayfarer track. With MP and AW on a hill-survey.Man of Kernow126/11/2020
The 8 summits around Cynwyd Forest anti-clockwise with Rufus. Parked at far end of reservoir and took forest track to open hillside, used a mixture of fences and rough tracks for navigation but plenty of the round is in deep heather. A good logical round for the northern Berwyn and took just over 4 hours at a fast pace - 16km 700m ascent.jacobrichmond01/09/2020
Berwyn traverse from Rhos-y-maerdy to Pistyll Rhaeadrtim74718/08/2020
From the road end just beyond Pentre. Good, if occasionally waterlogged track. Just an hour to reach the Berwyn ridge. Start of 9 hour day in perfect weather.Campbell Singer23/10/2019
Parking space for a few cars at SJ 118 306. Round of Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen, Cadair Bronwen, Moel yr Henfaes, Cadair Berwyn, Moel Sych, Post Gwyn, Moel Poethion, Godor. Descended through fields to track at SJ 110 302. Couple of farmers by the sheepfold didn't seem unduly concerned by our presence.Geoff Briggs01/09/2019

Short walk from the col with memorial. Continued to Y Drum, passing over prominent bump which almost felt 'tick-worthy'.Aye Jimmy12/05/2018
From a wild camp on Cadair Bronwen en route to Moel Fferna. Very hot weather forecast so made an early start. Tough going though the bogs on the ridge. Had breakfast by the cairn and watched as Snowdon disappeared into a thickening haze.Jake99405/05/2018
