From the road end just beyond Pentre. Good, if occasionally waterlogged track. Just an hour to reach the Berwyn ridge. Start of 9 hour day in perfect weather.Campbell Singer23/10/2019
Parking space for a few cars at SJ 118 306. Round of Mynydd Tarw, Foel Wen, Cadair Bronwen, Moel yr Henfaes, Cadair Berwyn, Moel Sych, Post Gwyn, Moel Poethion, Godor. Descended through fields to track at SJ 110 302. Couple of farmers by the sheepfold didn't seem unduly concerned by our presence.Geoff Briggs01/09/2019

Short walk from the col with memorial. Continued to Y Drum, passing over prominent bump which almost felt 'tick-worthy'.Aye Jimmy12/05/2018
From a wild camp on Cadair Bronwen en route to Moel Fferna. Very hot weather forecast so made an early start. Tough going though the bogs on the ridge. Had breakfast by the cairn and watched as Snowdon disappeared into a thickening haze.Jake99405/05/2018
Run with Will. Nearly lost a shoe in the slush and bogs. Followed the route in the Nuttals Bookbenwloudon18/12/2017

10 hill circuit based around Cadiar Bronwen. Start and finish on a forestry track not far from Cynwyd. Fantastic, sunny Saturday with hardly anyone on the hills.BobHancock22/04/2017

Parked on forest road at 084,401. North Berwyn Way to Moel Fferna, then along horrendously boggy ridge to bag Cerrig Coediog, Cefn Perfedd and Moel yr Henfaes. Descent on very good track above Nant y Lladron. 8 miles, 1600ft ascent - just under 4 hours.Crib Goch15/04/2016
Ty'n-y-parc to Bwlch Llandrillo pass to Pen Bwlch Llandrillo to Cadair Bronwen. Return to Ty'n-y-parc to complete circuit. Walked solo, time 5 hours. Sunny weather, but hazy. Saw no-one all day except motor-cross riders on Bwlch Llandrillo, despite being a Sunday. Beautiful easy walk in some really wild country. Hard going along the watershed path with bogs, heather (in places) and slushy melting snow obliterating the path. Great day though!jamessteel10013/03/2016
From Cynwyd (River Dee in spate) up forestry track then direct climb to Moel yr Henfraes (Dewey) through rather damp heather. Onwards from there to the Hewitt and lunch at the memorial (sheep cropped slopes treacherous). Took track back to dry to dry feet and legs out. Good views all round.SS27/12/2015

Continuing south from Cerrig Coediog. Skipped Pen y Lladron as didn't look very accesible through the overgrown heather. Route boggy and needs care negotiating even after a period of predominantly dry weather. Excellent views of the larger members of the Berwyns to the South.muzza228/06/2015

Parked behind the pub in Cynwyd. Moel Fferna to Pen Bwlch Llandrillo Top to Cadair Bronwen North-east Top to Cadair Bronwen to Cynwyd. Excellent day, stayed dry and warm with some sun. Saw no other walkers!!axe.stephen26/05/2014
An easy walk along the Fence from Moel Henfaes East top. I found a small figurine of a lamb at the foot of the cairn. It had been painted pink!!. Attractive rocky outcrops. I continued to Y Drum after this. This was my Seventh Hill on a long walk from Llangollen to Llandrillo taking in the hills I miised on the North Berwyn way.Dazingdale04/05/2014
From Cynwyd, a round of Bryn-llus, Pen Creigiau'r Barcut, Moel Ffarna, Cerrig Coediog, Pen y Lladron, Moel yr Henfaes [Pen Bwlch Llandrillo Top], Y Drum and Moel yr Henfaes. A nice horseshoe for this area.rhalstead07/04/2014
Beautiful Berwyns basking in the sunshine! I claim no responsibility for the pink sheep nestling against the cairn but it was fun to see it there. I was less impressed by a recent entry in the logbook on the pass: the language used was more offensive than the litter and 4 wheel drivers it was ranting about! I wonder what became of poor Clare?ruthatlast13/03/2014
Very wet giver the weather. Rather a lot of fences around the top but all passable. Break in the storms with Bev.simon and co07/02/2014

With Minnie from Llandrillo up the easy track to the col then onto Moel yr Henfaes then to Cadair Bronwen a good freeze made the going less boggy, a little snow on top, the 3000footers look to have a good covering, sunny & cold. Back to Llandrillo on track across Moel Pearce.apricorum29/11/2012
Climbed en route for Dewey Cerrig Coediog. For details of route, see this hill.Man of Kernow104/11/2012
Track from Fferna not in bad condition considering all of the summer rain. Also done again on saturday 19/09/2015 (solo) when heading to Cadair Bronwen NE top after parking at 081403 in the forest and taking in the SIM of Pen Y Lladron.bolton23/07/2012
