Found going up Fox's path very difficult and think descending would be easier, however generally very loose sandy ground anyway.cjeam31/12/2018

Approach along Miniffordd Path. Two or three rocks local to trig could mark summit. Busy. On return descended via an initially steep (loose) path from col to W of Llyn Cau, then along S side of the Llyn - very quiet.ger27/09/2018
Via the Minffordd Path with eldest son (15) on a hot, sunny evening. Craig Cwm Amarch, Penygadair and Mynydd Moel all done at a fair pace as we set off at gone 5 and the last bus was at 10pm.clyoung26/07/2018

With: hb sb; Parked at Ty Nat CP. Walked up to Rhiw Gwredydd and then Pony Path over Cyfrwy (shower) to Penygadair top. Met two guys ex NATS. Out and back to Mynydd Moel. Descended Foxes Path to Llyn y Gadair which was frozen with distinctive patterns in ice.Ian Baines11/03/2018
50m under trig walked out from the grey cloud into bright sunshine and a massive cloud inversion. Could only see a peak above the cloud to the NW. Magnificent. What with sun rising over the cloud it was perfect. Stayed at the trig for half an hour then went to the bothy and munched some sandwiches. Great views. Only my second cloud inversion. Minfordd - Llyn Cau - Craig Cwm Amarch - Cyfrwy - Cadair Idris - Mynydd Moel - Gau Graig - NE ridge to path at bottom - road pass (Bwlch Llyn Bach) - return to Minfordd via Cwm Rhwyddfor. Time 6 hours. Leading Robin, Sam, Katherina (preparing for MLT). Fine day. Good visibility throughout though increasing cloud mid afternoon and spot of rain. An excellent route on a fine (but busy) mountain ... second time I have done this peak by the exact same route!jamessteel10019/04/2017

With Stig Nest. A wet and icky start to the day and almost zero vis by the summit of Craig Cau. But cleared amazingly before we left summit of penygadair. Walk out to myn Moel was therefor breathtaking. Descent back to the Myn path was in places pretty steep and rough. Would hate to go up this way.Laura.W22/06/2016
Parking in the usual car park on the lane to the North then along Pony Path diversion over the Saddle then along to summit, back down via the Fox's Path scree slope (not recommended if wearing flip flops! ) then back to start point. Great circuit not a sole for 4 hours :) Pillar little the worse for wear FB gone, great views on the assent and decent, cloud drifting in above 800m.griefmiester17/06/2016

Pony Path, Star/Finish Ty Nant carpark (SH 697 153) Post Code - LL40 1TL car par is a bit further than what post code sends you to but on correct road so no worries, pay and display Carpark with toilets. Not to hard a path but some harder parts along it the views make it so worthwhile. It was a lovely warm/Hot clear day made it a great hike, Do it views make the hard bits forgettable.jakewelsh04/06/2016
Parked at Ty-Nant before 8 am - plenty of room. Took about to 2 hours to get to the top. Clear and hot weather. Early start a good idea as there were lots of people climbing up as I came down and the car park was full.ajd5830/05/2016
