A pleasant enough clockwise round of the fells above Aberllefenni made a little more exciting by my having difficulty in finding a clear route into Cwm Ratgoed. | oldbagger27 | 17/06/2023 |

Parked in the small car park by the A470 at Bwlch Oerwddrws (top of pass). First headed east up to bag Dewey Pen Ochr y Bwlch, then on to revisit the Nuttall Pen y Brynfforchog and its north top, which I missed previously. Then back to the pass for plenty of water. Then headed west over Cribin Fawr and on to revisit Craig Portas, along with a first visit to its East Top and Mynydd Dolgoed West Top, before returning to the pass. 16km with 1000m of ascent, taking 6h20m on a cloudless but very hot day, 31oC at the pass in the afternoon! | silverwolf_alan | 11/08/2022 |
7/8 Mynydd Ceiswyn, Waun-oer, Cribin Fawr, Craig Portas East Top, Maesglase, Maen Du, Craig Portas West Top, Mynydd Dolgoed. Fantastic Route from the Ratgoed Valley with nice walk out at the end. Hot day indeed | nickywood1 | 13/07/2022 |

As per Maesglase | JulieB | 04/01/2022 |
South from car park on A470 at top of pass. Found a good path west of crags, in Scotland I would have called it a stalkers' path, all the way up to the wall, much shorter than the path to the east and easy going. Then along the wall over Cribin Fawr to Waun-oer, back a short way to drop easily down to forest track, followed to end and then an easy line back up to fence, Craig Portas and Maen Du. Dropped down to Penintag Uchaf and back on road.
Afternoon pleasant walk along the fences to Pen y Brynfforchog. | dickscroop | 11/11/2021 |
Afternoon hike with my brother and his 3 children in >25° heat. Climbing from car park at Ochr y Bwlch to Cribin Fawr (659m), then making a dog-leg to Waun-oer (670m), before following horse-shoe ridge round to Maen Du (674m) on Maesglase. Descended to Dolobran. ~11Km with 790m ascent. | VirtualMountain | 17/07/2021 |

Continued onto Craig Portas and its East Top. Back via Cribin Fawr, and ascent route. With B and R. | jenx | 20/09/2020 |
Parked at high point of A470. Cribin Fawr, Waun-oer, track through forest (easy to access from col NE of Waun-oer, slightly overgrown firebreak continues beyond end of track to emerge near NE corner of forest), Craig Portas and East Top. Back via small path close to fences over Cribin Fawr. | PGCE | 14/08/2020 |

12 Mile walk from top of pass, followed good path onto Cribin Fawr and its unmarked summit, then down and steeply up onto Waun-Oer and its trig, back onto Cribin Fawr, down fenceline and along hillside path to Mynydd Dolgoeds featureless summit, then nice ridge walk onto another two featureless summits, Craig Portas and its East Top, then onto the big bulk of Maesglase to its cairned top, we then walked back to Cribin Fawr and down to the pass, after a break, steeply ascended Pen Ochr Y Bwlch and its unmarked top, then up onto Pen Y Brynfforchog where we tried to rebuild the fallen down pile of stones on top, returned to the pass, mostly sunny with the odd cloud banks touching the surrounding summits | DanTrig | 06/07/2016 |
From Mynydd Dolgoed on Backpack. Spotted 'Micky Mouse' post! | mick | 05/05/2016 |

Nuttall Walk WN 10.3 West of Dinas Mawddwy from Aberllefenni. Mynydd Ceiswyn, Waun-oer, Cribin Fawr, Craig Portas and Maesglase. 20.4km with 1170m ascent in 7h15m. Heavy snow for much of the walk with deep lying snow on the tops. | silveracorn_alan | 29/03/2016 |
Look out foe Micky Mouse metal label at base of corner fence post near summit, Heavy morning rain slow to clear replaced by gradually clearing skies with good visibility. Strong wind became stronger almost blowing me off my feet on many occasions. Parked in car park near 363m spot height on A470. Cribin Fawr->Waun-oer->Craig Portas->Craig Portas East Top->Maesglase->Maesglase (old GR) - Maen Du. Only 7.83 miles but comparatively a lot of ascent at 964m. No wonder felt tired on final walk back to van along A470 from Penantigi Isaf. Better to park near milepost to reduce final walk back to van. | mntainman | 09/03/2016 |
2153 3443 and 7572. From the car park on the A470. Took the footpath heading SE. From about 100m to 4 or 5 hundred metres it is quite narrow and a bit awkward to follow then it widens out. Then fence to pass near Cribin Fawr. Then cut across towards the summits. | destaylor | 02/07/2015 |
From top of Dinas Mawddwy pass on way to Maesglase. With L. | wombourne | 18/06/2015 |
After Cribin Fawr the surface deteriorates into peat hags and muddy crossings. Very pleased to get to the cliffs and drier ground. Sadly the terrain had slowed me down so much that the out and back to Maesglase couldn't be fitted in without missing the bus from Aberllefenni, so reluctantly turned SW from here. | thesweetcheat | 09/05/2015 |
