Through caravan park, path to top of woods then steeply up avoiding the bracken. Good views. On to Foel Wyllt and Foel Tyddyn y Berlllan.PeterD05/09/2023
Parked by the barn at Gwyddelfynydd and took the zig-zag track up.Peterb16/04/2023
Looking for remains of Block. Nothing found.Dusty17/10/2022
1/5 from Twywn to Kings YH. Arrived late since started at midday.davechaffey14/10/2022
Most westerly of the sect 30f Marilyns. Evening Zig zag track trudge up the SE slopes then west along grassy slopes with scattering fearty sheep. Glorious to look down on the Irish sea and the town of Tywyn where the narrow gauge Tal-y-Llyn railway starts. Surprisingly with coast only five miles away expected good 4G signal but there wasn't. Decided to head to the town when I got down th see the sea and get takeaway.vegibagger14/06/2022
A good zig-zag track from Gwyddelfynydd (where its also possible to park a car/van) gives quick and easy access to these hills. Ffridd Cocyn first, then sheep tracks to its easterly smaller sister, and finally Foel Tyddyn y Berllan. Returned via another track which leads down to Perfeddnant farmhouse and the road back to the start.summitter31/05/2022
Parked in lay-by 200m along B4405 from Dol-Deheuwydd. Down road then through gate onto PROW, cutting across field to zigzag track. Followed this all the way to Foel Wyllt, then down to wall. Followed wall down until itt met a fence, then possible to squeeze through between wall and fence into next field. Up field and along ridge to summit. Returned same route. 3.8 miles 1hr 30 round trip walking time. With KeithByTheC.JulieB31/12/2021
From East Top. Large wall impedes progress, but at nw end of wall there is a small gap that can be squeezed through with careful removal of old posts that stop sheep escaping. Made sure gap was secure after passing through. KeithByTheC31/12/2021
Through caravan park then path to top of woods. Open hill, some bracken and thistle, up onto easy SW ridge.Topographer5714/07/2021
From Woodlands, as others, step over fence where it has no bw, at top of woodland trail (this and the RoW getting overgrown), up thru' the thistly pasture, finding a way to the top on grass all the way. Continued to E Top (qv for log). Despite its diminutive height, Ffridd Cocyn looks quite dominant from other Dyssyni hills- which I guess proves the point of relative hillspwheeler13/07/2021
From B4405 lay by outside caravan park, with judy55cat. PRoW through hedge passing caravan sites own fly tipping area - not impressed. Best place to step over fence I found at around 61825 03839 then onward and upward. Operated ham radio for SOTA on summit using short wave and Morse Code.G4OBK (Phil)17/06/2021

1/3 Marilyn day. Ascent of Ffridd Cocyn from the B4405. Up public FP, then cart track, and along the ridge. A round trip of 6km in 1h20m. (S)silveracorn_alan12/08/2018
Great warm up for the day's main event on Bird's Rock doing this hill with Adrian R from the unfashionable Abertrinant side. Also happened to be my 50th Welsh Marilyn repeat.Twice Shy26/05/2018
Parked by Gwyddelfynydd, and walked up the easy grassy track. Met the farmer near the top, who was somewhat distressed that I was up there. The track is his, not Gwyddelfynydd's. He gave me permission to continue, but warned that he does not want people up there because of using high powered rifles (presumably to shoot the foxes, which are taking his lambs). It would be diplomatic to use an alternative route. Note to would be night baggers: the shooting is at night.Gill22/04/2018
Easy climb on grass from stud farm at Gwyddelfynydd via zig-zag track. Barbed wire fence to climb at top.Lionel Bidwell28/03/2018

I chose the route through the caravan site more because there was easy parking in the layby outside it. Exiting the wood into the pasture land involved just stepping over a fence and after that it was straight up the hill all be it a fairly steepish climb.Father Ted05/10/2017
With K via zig-zag track above Dol-Deheuwydd. Met farmer and two sons hand spraying bracken half way up the track. Very friendly and aware of people using this route.Ashley29/07/2017

Footpath from road B4405 then track to ridge. Along ridge to summit. At wall went NW to break in wall where we were able to climb a barbed wire fence, Descended by ascent route.mike.hoult08/08/2016
3/5. From small pull in by gafes on the b road Talyllyn to Bryncrug. A gate 50 yards down the road eases access into steep sheepie pastures. Headed for top corner where a new b/wire fence ends leaving enough of a gap to climb over unobstructed where it joins the stone wall. From here followed the old track up til it petered out then again steeply up to summit with gobsmack overload views. Rebuilt cairn.stig_nest28/02/2016
With Jenx using FP to start then zig zag lane to south east. Didn't see anyone as passed farm. Misty on top, one wall to cross.nordicstar15/11/2015
No problems with route up near farm. Shame about the mist.jenx15/11/2015
Parked in a layby close to the entrance of the caravan site on the S.W side. Just under 2 miles over 75 minutes with GB after finding a path at the top end of the caravan park.bolton29/10/2015
Large parking area by entrance to Woodlands Holiday Park at SH61967 03437 - Up through park to start of woodland path at SH61989 03644 - Up steep path to metal gate & then up steep slopes to summit cairn. (PM)gerrybowes29/10/2015
Parked at 631038 and walked back east to the start of the footpath where a stile gives access to a field. Walked up NE to gate to get on to the vehicle track that zig zags up the hill side. Here we were spotted by the farmer in the yard below (Doldeheuwydd)and so I waved and asked if it was ok to walk to the top of the hill. Reply was yes, so walked to the wall at the end of the track. Here followed wall NW to carefully cross a fence (barbed) then left SW to cross another fence (barbed wire can be unwound and wound back again) to gain the summit field. Returned same way. Great views so thanks to the farmer.mindlessflogger10/10/2015

From B4405 roadside verge (SH 63123 03883) - Entered farmland through gate at SH 63475 04020 and following landrover track to the ridge top, faint grassy paths from there to the summit. Steep descent to end of walk at Woodlands Holiday Park (SH 61859 03415).david23020123/03/2014
From road at about 633039 (10:35), straight up across field to open country and ridge top then walked SW to summit. Lovely day, great views. Finished 11:35.dbb25/05/2013

Parked on tiny rough layby at SH 63114 03877 and used zigzag track to summit ridge. An easy route but for one difficult wall to climb. Descended straight down steep flank to car.David Gradwell19/08/2012
nature trail is optomistic but clear - brilliantly clear views across whole of cardigan baygigglejon26/03/2012
Parked near top of Caravan site but didn't find nature trail! Instead had steep uphill fight through scrub behind chalet 6 to reach any sort of path. Easy then with just one barbed wire fence to cross!signyred02/12/2011

Afternoon stroll from the South and East up the zig zag unfenced track then negotiate a wall and a fence to the top. A small cairn located there. With Mary on a rain swept day with cloud at 700/900 feet .Glenelg22/09/2007
