Parked by the derelict pub in New Radnor. Walked to Harley Dingle then over footbridge. Pleasant walk up by Firing Range boundary fence then good tracks all the way to the trig pillar. With Jill.Dangerous Dave07/02/2024

Room for a car or two at the road end to the north 156 655. Followed the farm track until the obvious grass ride West of the summit. A bit tussocky after crossing the fence but easy enough. I thought the approach was better than the flattish summit plateau, though the elevated trig was impressive. I passed the farmer on my return and he didn't have any issue with where I'd parked.Peterb10/08/2023
Parked in the car park by the school in New Radnor, as it was the school holidays. Knowle Hill, Whimble, Bache Hill, Black Mixen, Great Rhos, Nyth-grug, Mynd and The Smatcher. Warm but overcast with a breeze on top. With Gillianrichard6907/08/2023

Clockwise circuit up by Harley's Dingle and again risking all by following track to the top. Sarah's first Nuttall of the 2023 Challenge.Rob Rees31/01/2023

Round of the valley, going tortoise paced by this point due to a seized up back. Descended on track beyond boudary fence to a right turn which joins bridal way at top of Davy Morgans Dingle (which is more interesting than the direct south descent).Nick Canute02/09/2022
From New Radnor following bridleway then the danger area border fence until S of summit. Horrible initially in calm humid conditions and constantly pestered by flys for 2 hours. Better on the summit with a slight breeze. Great spot though. SoloRoguePulsar15/08/2022

09:30, -1 in New Radnor (7 later) cloudless, windless. Haine's Mill route: Great Rhos, Black Mixen, Great Cregiau, Bache Hill, Whimble and Knowle Hill. Brecon Beacons floating above the haze, mostly easy terrain, nice woodland on descent. Superb!Wycombe Wanderer17/01/2022

Parked in forestry car park, visit to the waterfall then up the forestry track to gate to open fell at SO 177 625. Followed decent path to range boundary fence and then followed that around.sebastiencale09/11/2021
A very pleasant clockwise circuit of Great Rhos, Black Mixen and Bache Hill from New Radnor.Up Lane from Haine's Mill, round the three tops to finish down th Lane into the Centre of New Radnor. Good all th way except for a short stretch of dep heather from the gate at the end of the track before great Rhos. Path down through the woods near the end rather overgrown at this time of year but not a problem.dickscroop23/09/2021
Through New Radnor churchyard, then followed the path round the contour line. Up the track on the West side of the valley. The western bit of the range is a pain in the proverbial. Once I did work my way to the trig point and could see a well worn route back directly through the range it all became much simpler on the way back. Return the same way. Not another person on the hill.pclyndes12/09/2021
New Radnor > Jack's Green Farm > Whimble > Bache Hill > Black Vixen > Cross Dyke > Great Rhos > Harley Gorse > New Radnor.Winterfloodian07/09/2021
From the waterfall up the better condition track straight up (east of wood). Lots of wild blueberries on the west track down.Stevooo01/08/2021
