From the Nature Reserve CP SN964759 up the trail zig zags to the seat. then a nip over the fence to the summit. with ElizyanneGmacT19/07/2018
Much more straightforward than I thought. A quick one to do with minimum hassle. Select first path from forest map.elizyanne19/07/2018
As Rhalstead. Note - drive past house (unsurfaced road) and about 200m later you'll find the Woodland Trust car park. Hot, sunny and good views.iangalbraith19/07/2018
A nice walk from the nature reserve car park, just beyond Tan-yr-Allt cottage. Very pleasant narrow mossy path up through oak woods, a vehicle track, a very quick thrash across some brash, over a BWF and to the top, with great views. Hail storm on the way down, gave spectacular cloud effects when able to see. Down the vehicle track all the way.Gill15/02/2018
From car park north of Tan-yr-allt SO9644,7596. Wildlife trust trail to within 100yrds of summit.rhalstead29/05/2017
Easy on track and smooth pasture from the east.Topographer5707/04/2017
Did the chapel/track route from the east. Also had the shotgun or was it bird scarer experience. Nice views from flatish top.Father Ted24/03/2017
Quick hill. Parked by the chapel to E.twg2714/02/2017
Parked in Nantgwyn by phone box opposite church, up track as gerrybowes, across fields, plenty of gates to summit. In clag, shotguns being fired far to close for my liking so back down track at a rapid rate of knots! With CodyleCoyote.rogreeves14/02/2017
Up and down from roadside to east (room for a car) in half an hour between showers.SS28/01/2017
with Alastair and Sarah from the nature reserve car park on the west side of the hill via the zig zag access track. Delightful place for a spot of SOTA.M0YDH17/12/2016
First of five on sunny day (Cefn Cenarth/Wennallt/Garreg y Gwynt/Foel Goch/Foel Gurig)Fergalh08/05/2016
With Trefor. Parked opposite Chapel and south up road then followed track to west. Where track turns north straight on to summit.mike.hoult29/04/2016
From car park north of Tan-yr-allt SO 9644 7596. Zigzag path to summit where we operated for SOTA.G4OBK (Phil)08/04/2016
Bagged as a break in a N-S Wales journey. Parked by the chapel, up and down in 25 minutes. Caught in a squall at the top (which isn't marked).huwthomas07/04/2016
Spoke to the very nice chap at Tan yr Allt who advised there was a parking space just up past his. Then followed zigzag forest path which actually goes right to the hillcrest. Just a nip over 1 b/wire fence to grassy summit. A great view point. Theres some might fine hills down these parts..and because theyre less than 2000ft theyre very quiet. Trees on the upper section have been cleared. A bench faces to Plynlimon.stig_nest16/02/2016
Parked in a small quarry on the minor road south of the hill. Walked west along the road and then steeply up through the oak woods at a rusty pedestrian gate. the path eventually leads to another rusty gate and a field. A short walk through fields and a felled forest lead to the highest point.mindlessflogger20/06/2015
With: hb; Parked at SN963771 and followed track into wood then nature walk up to open fell. Short walk from the stile to the summit. Much better weather than the morning.Ian Baines12/03/2015

Met brother who had been hillbagging further S. Plenty of space for our 2 cars at Nantgwyn, opposite chapel. Went S. along road & then took the first track on right after 300m, followed it up through pastures S. of Cenarth Wood. No ROW, nor access land, but there's no discouragement either. Nice views though this hill is surrounded by higher hills- glimpse through to Cader Idris. Not very exciting hill but nice enough way of spending 55 mins.pwheeler04/05/2013
easy walk from the church through some fields. no clear high point on this hill, although the map says it should be the first thing you meet. it isnt obvious.tallblond18/11/2012
As Dugswell I believe. W Jenx from SN979764, easily up track and pastures to top. Good views to West.nordicstar17/11/2012

Left car at 765979 (11:55) and walked up farm track and path through fields to flattish top in meadow just N of wood. Weather and visibility good. Car 12:45. dbb14/06/2009
Stroll. Pleasant short grassed top.destaylor15/08/2008
My eponymous Welsh tick! From E, used track just S of Nantgwyn then fields to highest point: seems to be small rocky patch in short grass at SN 96916 76236, apparently same spot as John Edwards' log.Aye Jimmy24/07/2008
Parked opposite the Baptist Church. No obvious marked top so had to walk around the contenders a bit.clivevilla27/06/2008
Easy climb from the east. My GPS gave highest reading at SN 96915 76236 but stomped around the other likely looking spots.signyred13/11/2007
(date approx) Parked on road to S. Sneaked up through open woods, out onto top pasture, then through dense trees on top to reach summit. Then found start of track zigzagging down through woodland on W, which lead back to the road end.david.carreg01/05/2007
From the road.Eddie02/01/2007
Crafty bag after work before parent's evening. Parked to E and scampered up avoiding farmer. Caught up with him on the way down but only exchanged hello's. Must be used to people running up and down this hill by now!robphys19/10/2005
