Spontaneous decision to get off the bus back from a morning's mooching in Narberth for a quick walk up here from Crymych, via lane running east from the village then up the footpath from the SE near Penlan-uchaf. A warm slog up the ridge, but well worth it for the barrows and views. Descended NW then followed the bridleway SE back to the road.thesweetcheat29/04/2022
Circular walk around Frenni Fawr and Frenni Fach, approached FF summit from SE on access land alongside the fence bordering pasture (through which there is also a PROW). Outstanding views today Snowdonia, Brecon sharp and clear. Did we see Wicklow mountains perhaps?AdSonic7414/01/2022

Quick up and down from parking space on road south-east of summit, simple but fairly steep ascent to trig, great views on this sunny afternoon across Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire towards Gower and north along Cardigan Bay, as we descended a few others were going up. Earlier that day did a 10.7 mile walk taking in Foel Cwmcerwyn (second time) Carn Sian and Carn Menyn, afterwards bagged Freni Fach.DanTrig05/09/2020

A very pleasant walk from the small lay by near the road junction. An easy climb on short grass to the gate just below the trig. Sadly, fog spoiled the view, but it was quite atmospheric with the sun threatening to break through.Gill11/01/2018

From the layby on the A478 which others have mentioned. Followed the rather overgrown bridleway out onto the open hill and then took the obvious path to the summit. Fantastic views of the Preselis and beyond. With Keith and baby Ross.islamidget05/07/2017

15.49 on cloud and with SW driving drizzle. Not a day to be out on the hill for long. From SE approx 130m ascent entirely grassy than God. It would've been horrible if it'd been a Heather slog.vegibagger08/11/2016

En route to Cilgerran. Cardgan Bay visible.huwthomas03/05/2014
As I prefer a circular walk rather than a mindless flog up and down, we parked at the start of the bridleway south of Tynewydd (on the A478). Passed through a very scruffy farm full of dead cars and ascended next to a wind swept oak wood that horses shelter in. Decended by the north west 'spur' which is a much nicer path to walk and then back along the narrow and busy A road to the car. Perhaps a mindless flog there and back would have been best after all.mindlessflogger22/04/2014
