From WNW starting at Blaernau Uchaf. Local parking OK. Tracks most of the way to summit.Topographer5726/09/2018
Solo. Parked at carpark near summit of Gospel Pass. Ascended on good path to summit of Twmpa. Continued on path to Rhos Dirion. Highest point is SE of trig point. Followed gravel path which goes SW from trig point for somewhat over 1km. Continued on path to Waun Fach. Highest point is NE of trig point base. Returned same way. Misty from time to time. Only met a few others, all at or near Twmpa.pwbellarby18/09/2018
Windy and wet. No-one about. A path has been laid since I was last here; Meaning there's no more bog hopping to get to Pen y Gadair Fawr ( thank goodness)! A good example of excellent work done by the National Park. Solo.Dangerous Dave16/09/2018
Up from Abergavent and part of a loop to Hay Bluff, Waun Fach and on to Crickhowellandrew.morel25/07/2018
10.6 mile circular from junction near Cwm Farm, walked along road to end then along contouring path up the slopes of Mynydd Llysiau, to col then up Pen Trumau along great new paths to Waun Fach (3rd time) and Pen.Y.Gadair-Fawr (3rd time), followed well defined trails along to Nuttall Pen Twyn Mawr, then down footpath south to start. Clear and sunny but the coldest and windiest weather I've ever walked in -4C feeling like -15C, could barely walk on some stages. Earlier that day bagged May Hill, Gloucestershire and later that day bagged Allt Yr Esgair and Craig Syfyrddin. 16.8 miles altogether.DanTrig23/02/2018
Ascended from the Dragon's Back. Solo climb with poor visibility, heavy rain and high winds. Apparently the views from up there are stunning but I only saw cloud !Mickeyfinn27/01/2018
Walked from Gospel Pass there must be a good 2km of bags full of stones ready to lay between here & Rhos Dirionphilhythe05/10/2017

Included in circular walk from bridge near Neuadd Farm, GR 234229, start with Pen Cerrig Calch, finish with Pen Twyn Mawr and down Pen Gwyllt Meirch and round to bridge start point. Once you have slogged and reached Pen Cerrig Calch summit you have basically gained the height. Mostly a leisurely stroll from then on. Start 10.30am finish 5.30pm. Can easily be done in less.Dewi Prysor13/05/2017

Used track from Blaenau Uchaf then cut up onto ridge and along to top. Ice, mist and cloud.jenx19/02/2016
Using excellent track up from farm at Blaenau Uchaf. Parking good. From 360m the line up Y Grib is fast (watch for trail bikes that are even faster!). Path continues up to ridge then for us a frozen plod through good and bad sections until we met the path under construction. Featureless top marked by soft toy :-)nordicstar19/02/2016
Great snowy & windy ascent up from the W over Y Grib. Helicopter was making repeated drop offs of stone for path works to add to the fun.DanMaisieBex14/02/2016
Good climb on a nice day but very boggy at the top. Work progressing on a new path.Numb28/10/2015
Fourth and highest hill on a circuit from Llanbedr. A little disappointing as the top is very flat and peaty. Work in progress to create a stone/ gravel path over the peat areas gave it the appearence of high altitude roadworks.Cas-gwent14/10/2015
ANOTHER DAY OF GLORIOUS WEATHER WITH VIEWS FROM THE BEACONS TO THE SHROPSHIRE HILLS. FOLLOWED NUTTALLS WALK 12.2 UP VERY STEEP HILLSIDE (ARCHERS OMNIBUS ON I-POD) AND OVER PEN CERRIG CALCH, PEN ALLT MAWR, PEN TWYN GLAS, MYNIDD LLYSIAU,WAUN FACH,PEN Y GADAIR FAWR AND PEN TWYN MAWR.
