Summit cairn was our first checkpoint on Day2 of Black Mountains OMM, after a cold numbing overnight camp. Ran most of way up here from start wearing every stitch of clothing I had until warmed up eg 2 base layers, fleece jacket, 2 hats, cag with hood up, long johns, overtousers. Usual wet cold fell shoes from yetsterday. V strong Cold NW wind but crystal clear and sunny. Very exciting plummet next steeply down off escarpment to next checkpoint at crag bottom. Then slanting climb to Gospel Pass and many points east and south on 5 hour day 2 of Medium Score with Darren.Chris Pearson28/10/2018

In the early 1990s before I had even heard of Simms I did my own personal challenge of all the 600m peaks in Wales. I have a record of the summits but not the dates so I have selected this arbitrary date within the period for them all. Some I missed but this was one I did.dickscroop01/07/1994

On Cwm Coyant stone circle (Car Pk)- Hay Bluff- Twmpa- Rhos Dirion- Chwarel y Fan- - Nant Bwch- Pennant- stone circle walk. 15.5 miles in 6h 45- quick for me but it was Jan 2nd. An opportunity snatched to get a mountain walk after Christmas/New Year. Cloud and sunshine, windy, but clear tops. Cobwebs were blown and a really good mountain walk enjoyed, especially on the escarpment mountains such as this one.pwheeler02/01/1992
