Hot sunny day, walk with my 12 year old son, distance ~19.5Km, ascent 740m.VirtualMountain20/04/2019

10.6 mile circular from junction near Cwm Farm, walked along road to end then along contouring path up the slopes of Mynydd Llysiau, to col then up Pen Trumau along great new paths to Waun Fach (3rd time) and Pen.Y.Gadair-Fawr (3rd time), followed well defined trails along to Nuttall Pen Twyn Mawr, then down footpath south to start. Clear and sunny but the coldest and windiest weather I've ever walked in -4C feeling like -15C, could barely walk on some stages. Earlier that day bagged May Hill, Gloucestershire and later that day bagged Allt Yr Esgair and Craig Syfyrddin. 16.8 miles altogether.DanTrig23/02/2018

Included in circular walk from bridge near Neuadd Farm, GR 234229, start with Pen Cerrig Calch, finish with Pen Twyn Mawr and down Pen Gwyllt Meirch and round to bridge start point. Once you have slogged and reached Pen Cerrig Calch summit you have basically gained the height. Mostly a leisurely stroll from then on. Start 10.30am finish 5.30pm. Can easily be done in less.Dewi Prysor13/05/2017

Clear paths throughout except on Waun Fach summit plateau. Would be rather boggy between Waun Fach & Pen y Gadair Fawr during a wet spell.david23020110/09/2014

From forest in car park, up the valley past the reservoir and to Waun Fach, then onto Pen y Gadair Fawr and finally to an insignificant bump of Pen Twyn Mawr. From here we retraced our steps along the forest edge and through a gate and down to a forest track. Heading north we came to the edge of the forest and down a steep, long path. 13 miles overall.Malcvolm26/05/2014

Solo walk from Glangrwyney via Crug Mawr. First time I've been up here using public transport. Unremarkable top and time prevented a re-ascent of PyGF. Dropped to Maen Llwyd instead, then back to Crickhowell.thesweetcheat08/03/2014
