Quick dash to the summit from the b-road and Roman road junction (down from Maed Llia). Warm rain at the top. Crossing the stream was not easyjoriswmdb12/08/2023

Start @ Storey Arms Car Park, cross road and go up & back to Y Gyrn, follow Beacons Way to Fan Frynych via Craig Cerrig-gleisiad, turn back to rejoin Beacons Way heading down to Fan Llia before doubling back once again this time joining the Cambrian Way and then a track to Fan Fawr, quickly bag the Trig Point near Fan Fawr before heading back down to start point.lboutside28/01/2023
Parked in the car park by the river to the south. Over the bridge, then missed the Beacon's Way and went more directly by the fence, up onto the shoulder. Pleasant walking to the summit. On to Craig Cerrig-gleisiad and Fan Frynych.LizH02/06/2022

Solo. From Ystradfellte via Blaen Llia. Also visited Fan Dringarth. Snow underfoot.forsterfamily722/01/2022
From the Blaen Llia car park to the south, up over easy frozen ground and then along the ridge to drop down to Sarn Helen. Lovely little loop on a grey day.sebastiencale21/01/2022
A beautiful winter walking day, sunny most of day and frozen ground made for easy going. From Devil's elbow up the good path and cut across on path following fence to bwlch and round to Yr Allt. then back round to Fan Nedd via the cairn. Dropped down more or less due east to road at point where track joins and then easily straight up to cairn and along ridge to very small summit cairn. Dropped down north and west to car park with no path but no problems either.dickscroop29/11/2021
Parked Devils elbow, up Fan Nedd, on to Fan Ghyrich. Wild camp just off the summit. From there loop to the south to then follow Beacons way up Fan Llia and back to car at Devil's elbow.andrew.morel24/08/2021
Fan Fawr and Fan Llia walk, parked at the Pont ar Daf car park. Not the most stunning scenery, and a bit boggy, but it benefits from a much lower number of people than adjacent Pen Y Fan, and there's a very nice cliffside walk on the Beacons Way up Craig y Fro.JazDisney22/08/2021

Parked in uncrowded layby 1/2 Km west of Storey Arms Centre as car park there over flowing along roadside verge. Seems odd that people planning to haul themselves up to Cribyn can’t manage a few extra yards to park properly. Anyway, I beat a path straight up to summit from Storey Arms, then turned north west to skirt river feeding resevoir. South along Beacons Way brought me to Fan Dringarth and then Fan Llia. North, back along Beacons Way, I detoured briefly to the white trig of Fan Frynych, and then on round to Craig Cerrig-gleisaid. Detour worth it for great views of the crags and Cribyn and Pen y Fan. Continued along Beacons Way to complete this circuit. Sunny, but very windy day.Pete West18/09/2020
From layby to E. Lovely path to col, then Fan Frynych, Craig C-G and long walk out to Fan Llia and back. Damp and misty. With B and R.jenx11/09/2020

On a run/walk from Storey Arms, coming due west passing north of Ystradfelte Reservoir. Windy and foggy.kasharic18/08/2018
Parked by Maen Llia on top of pass of backroad (Sarn Helen) between Ystradfellte and Heol Senni. Took a fairly direct route up the west face of northerly flank of Fan Llia, reached summit at 13:18 before returning to Maen Llia to head up north ridge of Fan Nedd to summit. Nice walk for the these two summits on a dry and hot day with bubbling, dramatic clouds. (See Fan Nedd log)Dewi Prysor10/08/2018
With Penda, parked in Maen Lia car park and went directly up to top and back. No path, tough going on a very hot day. Then straight on to Fan Nedd and back.beorwulf29/06/2018

From the CP to the SW. Straight up and down with the children - their first experience of really horrible hill weather. Thick mist, high winds and horizontal rain. They took it fairly well really. Small pile of stones marks the summit but didn't linger.Herbert Anchovy05/09/2017
