The Cheviot Group from Langleeford. A clockwise route around the dale head. Nice and dry peat underfoot, but still a big and tiring round, especially due to the bash through the heather out and back to new top for me, Great Standrop. The remainder all being revisits, Langlee Crags, Hedgehope Hill, Comb Fell, Cairn Hill, Cairn Hill West Top, Auchope Cairn, and finally back over the flagstones to The Cheviot. Windy but warm in the sun. 24km with 1300m ascent, taking me 7h 40m.silverwolf_alan27/05/2023
Plenty parking at NT9543 2252. Followed the signed path to the nearby bridge, and the paths up past Housey and Long Crags, across the boggy ground and up to the summit. Windy day but good views.LizH05/02/2023
Scald Hill, The Cheviot, Cairn Hill both Tops, Comb Fell, Hedgehope Hill, Long Crags, Housey Crags.Longwojo04/09/2022

Did Hedgehope Hill part of the County Top walk of Northumberland.DavidHiner29/08/2022
With Jo from Harrtside: road to Greensidehill, then paths to Cunyan Crags, Dunmoor Hill and Hedgehope Hill. Then track west side of fence to Little Standrop and Great Standrop before returning on track/road through Linhope to car. Weather; sunny, generally warm, windy, good visibility.amblerbob20/06/2022

Solo Cheviot roundKatyT09/06/2022
Langleeford (parking area) > Hawsen Burn > Scald Hill > The Cheviot > Cairn Hill > Comb Fell > Hegehope Hill > Long Crags > Housey Crags > Langleeford (parking area). Beautiful spring day, bit hazy but light winds and a nice temperature. This is a route for the purist, even following a dry spell, Comb Fell is a horror show from the top of the Harthope Valley to you start the accent of Headgehope. Hard work for the determine only.johnkaysleftleg23/03/2022
Followed fence from Dunmoor Hill. A revisit, on the way to Great Standrop, making a great circular route. Solo.Dangerous Dave19/11/2021
Walk from Greensidehill and ascent of Cunyan Crags to Dunmoor Hill, Hedgehope Hill and Comb Fell. Descent via Coldlaw Cairn, Shielcleugh Edge, High Cantle to High Bleakhope. Follow road/track back to main road at Hartside and back to Greensidehill.raymooremanx02/11/2021
6 of 6: From Comb Fell. With Karen.ChrisR12/10/2021
Parking at Hartside (NPBTP sign), Breamish valley, NT976162. Linhope, where challenged by gamekeeper (friendly) who gave me permission to access the FP/track trending WSW to meet the BW at NT954157 (perhaps one is expected to use the PF/BW via Alnhammoor?), then ATV TK from cattle grid on BW to top of Shill Moor. Descended fence N (rough veg, young trees growing on E side) to cattle grid, then up ATV TKs to Low Cantle, then largely no ground trail to High Cantle and Comb Fell, int. GT to Hedgehope Hill, unmapped int. waymarked PF to Dunmoor Hill, Cunyan Crags; hard to spot ground trail of BW SW near med. village, but improves as go SW to Linhope.Isbjorn25/09/2021
As Nuttall 8.1, but adding out-and-back to The Schil from Cairn Hill along the Pennine Way (adds 7 miles). The Cheviot > The Schil > Comb Fell > Hedgehope Hill. Permitted path back to car park below Langleeford from Housey Crags does not follow line on OS map.Peter_W_Mitchell 18/06/2021
Got lost and climbed through a plantation because there were cows on the path.HS57318/06/2021
Walked solo from good roadside parking at NT 954 225. Weather dull and dry with cloud shrouding the tops of Hedgehope Hill and The Cheviot. Crossed the footbridge then through trees onto open fellside and followed very obvious path up to Housey Crags, Long Crag, and across a wide col (dry on my walk but potentially a bogfest) to the foot of Hedgehope Hill. Tedious steep plod on a clear path to summit. Last few hundred feet in cloud with no views so ate lunch at the trig then retraced steps. Route was approx 4.4 miles with 1,650ft ascent (two hours up, one hour down). PS: looked back as I drove away and the summits were cloud free - typical!Skip16/06/2021

From Langleeford. After weeks of rain the section after Long Crags was very wet. Steep slippery slope to summit area - bypassed this on the descent.peter4lc27/05/2021
From Hartside via Linhope Spout Did it again from Langleeford going back to Hartside - time of second ascent 17:00NorthernWayfarer03/04/2021
Mooch with Jonny and Dicko. Some of the best scenery I've ever seen, absolute winter wonderland, snow from 2ft to 8ft deep. Also the stupidest thing i've done to date. Instead of turning back when we seen the weather, we walked to the end of the valley and had an absolute panic trying to make it back before dark with no footing no dry clothes and no light. Total Idiots. Canny in hindsight though.DylannnCarter06/01/2021
Cool & misty on top with typical Cheviot winds. Ascended from Hartside via Linhope Spout.peterforeman20/09/2020
Langleeford (ample parking) > Cheviot > Comb Fell > Hedgehope > Langlee Crags > Langleeford. Swamp fest in the dip between Cheviot and Comb Fell so might be best attempted after a period of dry weather (unless you're into that sort of thing).JohnR14/09/2020

Two day walk of the Cheviot hills with Ben. First day: The Cheviot > Windy Gyle. Second day: Bloodybush Edge > Cushat Law > Comb Fell > Hedgehope Hill.axoree14/07/2019
From arking area at end of road leading to Langleeford.Short walk up road to permisive path over Scald Hill to the Chevot. Then on to Cairn Hill with an out and back to Cairn Hill West Top and Auchope Cairn. Descent then to Harthope Burn then rough going up to Comb Fell in and out of ditches and ankle deep bog. Easier going down and up to Hedgehope Hill before descending back to car via a climb up Hosey Crags.mart079702/07/2019

Single ticket from Harthope. No problem with bogs, hill dry. Looks like a place to avoid in a wet spell. Steep but easy ascent.fasgadh25/05/2019

Round Harthope glen from Langleeford with Alexander. Snow almost all gone, fair amount of sunshine, very little wind, though it still had an edge coming from the east.agentmancuso10/04/2019

Parked at Langlee, then Langlee Crags, then followed track cut through heather past Long Crags and then followed track across to hill. The path up proved to be a bit of a slog.Wheelsy03/01/2019
