From the South east with Izzy up by Comb Beck in Mousthwaite Comb. On to Scales Tarn then up Sharp Edge. Rock was dry so was nice and easy. In the wet I would guess it would be tricky especially the route we took up Foule Crag which was to the right of the easier gully. On to summit lovely views and great visibility. Headed down towards Scales Fell but then went back down to tarn for a paddle and back to the car. Time taken 2 hours 45 minutes including stops for 5.2 miles.isabelle30/08/2023
Hike up Blencathra from Blencathra Field Centre.Tisteln26/08/2023
With Ben from car park at Blencathra Centre up Blease Fell to Hallsfell Top, down by Mungrisdale Common and Roughton Gill. Note the path in Wainrights book up Roughton Gill does not exist anymore as the valley has been planted with trees. The path exists as sheep tracks. Clould lifted as we climbes so we got a good view from the summit.Victor10/08/2023

parked near the Blencathra centre. car park nearly full before 9:00am on a saturday. Followed trail magazine easy route up, then over to Mungrisdale common and Glenderaterra Beck. Did not find the route down the blue screes and it looked to steep, so backtracked until a safer route was visible. Orientation was difficult in the low cloud. Went on to the Mungrisdale wainwright, where the limited views were gorgeuos. Very boggy therafter.gbeniston18/03/2023

Continued on from Bowscale Fell in low visibility, utilising GPS. Considered turning back on a couple of occasions but kept calm & focused. Once at summit, descended by the track to the west as it was the clearest defined route and safest way to drop altitude quickly. Meant a longer walk back round to Mungrisdale once down off the high ground but it was a sensible decision to make.Gerry the Ranger29/11/2021
