18th of 19 hills today on the 1st leg of my improvised Bob Graham round starting and finishing today at the Craglands guesthouse in Keswick. Hills climbed were Latrigg, Lonscale Fell, Lonscale Pike, Jenkin hill, Skiddaw Lesser Man, Skiddaw Little man, Skiddaw South top, Skiddaw middle top, Skiddaw, Skiddaw North top, Broad end, Bakestall, Little Calva, Great Calva, Mungrisedale common, Atkinson Pike and after Blencathra, an easy walk along the edges to this summit. Really atmospheric with angry clouds and intermittent claps of thunder. Fantastic ridges to explore that drop down to Threlkeld!Dazingdale06/06/2016
An easy jog from the Blencathra centre to the stake - Mungrisedale Fell - on to Blencathra (may as well, even if I've done the other tops loads of times before). A stunning couple of hours out on may way up to do Ailsa CraigShutterlag03/06/2016
Blencathra, Gategill Fell Top, Atkinson Pike, Bowscale Fell, Bannerdale Crags. Followed route 1.1 from the Nuttals book. Parked the car in the lay-by on the A66. Nice walk to Gategill with good views and then up Hall's Fell which was a good old climb. Towards the top there were a few scrambles, but fairly easy ones and you come out right on the top of Blencathra. Then Gategill Fell Top and back to Atkinson Pike. A longish walk across a grassy plateau to Bowscale Fell and then back to Bannerdale Crags which had excellent views of Blencathra. Took the path South of the river down to Mousthwaite Comb.tsharp06/05/2016
