16th top of 19 today on the 1st leg of my improvised Bob Graham round starting and finishing today at the Craglands guesthouse in Keswick. I climbed Latrigg, Lonscale Fell. Lonscale Pike, Jenkin Hill, Skiddaw Lesser Man, Skiddaw Little man, Skiddaw South top, Skiddaw middle top, Skiddaw, Skiddaw North top, Broad End, Bakestall, Little Calva, Great Calva and Mungrisedale common from where an easy grassy path meets others and it was a fairly easy climb upto the summit plateau. I checked out the view of Sharp edge before visiting the summit cairn and immediate vicinity. Nobody else around and the atmosphere was charged and brooding.Dazingdale06/06/2016
Blencathra, Gategill Fell Top, Atkinson Pike, Bowscale Fell, Bannerdale Crags. Followed route 1.1 from the Nuttals book. Parked the car in the lay-by on the A66. Nice walk to Gategill with good views and then up Hall's Fell which was a good old climb. Towards the top there were a few scrambles, but fairly easy ones and you come out right on the top of Blencathra. Then Gategill Fell Top and back to Atkinson Pike. A longish walk across a grassy plateau to Bowscale Fell and then back to Bannerdale Crags which had excellent views of Blencathra. Took the path South of the river down to Mousthwaite Comb.tsharp06/05/2016
