Total day: 20km covering Souther Fell (both tops), Bannersdale Crags, Mungrisdale Common and all the tops of Blencathra. . Descent to Threlkeld and as we had an hour to wait for the bus, spent the time in the excellent community cafe. The Mars bar crispie cake was indeed excellent.Fionalevey28/10/2018

From Gategill Fell. Down to Blencathra Centre on the longer but least steep path (go right at the cairn where the paths split). Along the lanes back into the village for a well earned pot of tea at the excellent Threlkeld Coffee Shop. Parked in village without difficulty. Home, shower, then down to The Royal in Penrith to watch England vs Croatia in the WC semis.Hillsidenick11/07/2018
