I had to do this one again because on previous visit in thick cloud and rain I had been convinced by others leaving it that it was Scafel Pike. A weary guy today was under the same illusion when he saw me leaving it. (The real thing was just out of his line of sight,) I have probably done it four times now.Aimless Rambler29/06/2018

Started from Wastwater, up the North side of Lingmell Gill, round the side of Lingmell, up the path at GR 2155 0794, Ill Crag, back on same rout to Broad Crag and Sca Fell Pyke (lucky enough to have no clouds on top. On to Symonds Knott (very slow climb as there isn't a path) and Sca Fell. Took the obvious looking path back down, very steep at GR 1917 0674.tsharp09/09/2017

The good news was that the clag lifted by the time I reached the summit. The bad news was that it lifted because of the high winds. Felt very exposed on the top with the wind and wobbly stones I was standing on. Great views but was happy to get back down.NorthernWayfarer09/07/2017
