With Jim, Jus and Cat. Round of Black Crags, Buck Pike, Rossett Pike, Tongue Head, Esk Pike, Bowfell North Top and Bowfell from Old Dungeon Ghyll. CLag had really closed in on this one - visibility just a few yards. The rubble heap of a summit was lethally slippery in the wet. Really hard work getting off of here - a bum shuffle with compass and GPS consulted every few yards! Really didn't enjoy this one today, although I'm sure it's much nicer on a sunny day! | wheresthepath | 01/10/2023 |
Parked at NT ODG. Circuit via The Band, Three Tarns, Bow Fell, Bow Fell N Top, Esk Pike, Ore Gap, Angle Tarn, Rossett Pike. Mid afternoon walk waiting for forecast rain at lunchtime to pass.
