A long hard climb from Wasdale on a very hot day - 6 hours up, 3 hours down. Pillar has three plateaus before you hit the top. Then a long drive back to Borrowdale.Nick06/09/2023
A repeat of the Mosedale Horseshoe from the NT Car Park. Visiting Looking Stead, Pillar, Black Crag, Scoat Fell (all 3 summits), Steeple, Red Pike (Wasdale), Black Crag, and Yewbarrow (both summits) which is proving an increasing challenge for me at the end of a big day. A glorious day in the Lakes, with extensive views across the whole LDNP. 20km with 1330m ascent in 8h 30m.silverwolf_alan24/08/2023

Solo from Wasdale Head. Wife and friend following an hour after after train issues. Took in Looking Stead and Pillar. Met the others at 750m on my return journey, but had to get back to pick up kids. Quiet. Counted only 20 or so souls, but weather amazing and views complete.nukeboy120/04/2023

3rd visit and the 1st time I have had a view, and what a view, just stunning. Came up from Wasdale Head up the Black Sail Pass. Returned pretty much the same way, but just before Black Sail Crag a faint path contours down the hillside to rejoin the BSP at an old ruined half a circle sheepfold. Also an old Pivot BM on a boulder as you enter the shelterWayne Mac19/03/2022
