Walked in following most of the route forward from Stool End Farm to 3 Tarns, Bowfell Summit, Ore Gap, Esk Pike Summit, Esk Hause, Scafell Pike Summit, Mickledore, Foxes Tarn Gully to Sca Fell Summit. Manned checkpoint. Exited via Slight Side to Esk Dale.Went into cloud at about 800m initially and then it descended giving heavy rain and very poor visibility right through until after Scafell Pike Summit. Once on Sca Fell cloud lifted to give a beautiful clear and warm June afternoon. A good navigation challenge.higlett15/06/2019

On my own popping into the Lakes on the way home from the Scotland trip. Camped at Langdale. Decided to do the Crinkle Crags. Set off up Oxendale Beck through Stool End Farm, pulled up onto Browney Gill and onto Great Knott. Met a girl called Jill coming off Pike O Blisco and we walked together. I nipped onto Great Knott and caught up with Jill. Met another couple of girls who had come up from Wrynose Pass and they tagged on as they were a bit lost. The 2 girls left us at 3 tarns to head down and back. Did climbers traverse to Bowfell and up Great Slab. Then top of Bowfell. Then onto Esk Pike, Angle Tarn, down Rossett Gill and back to camp. Dropped her in Ambleside and back to camp. Met Ron and Hazel from Npton Climbing Club on site and had a few beers with them.Mark T22/07/1992

Solo around the Langdale Horseshoe.Scrambled up some nice slabby outcrops baskingin the heat near Three Tarns and then up the rocks to the right of the path up from Three Tarns to a breezy summit -went along to do the north top. I then chose a nasty / adventurous steep straight loose gully down between overleaning rock walls to gain easy grass to Rosset Pike.Chris Pearson24/04/1985
