4th hill of 12 on a 29.3km circuit from Greendale Cottages, continuing after High Pikehow, steeply up taking a pic of my GPs recording both 675m and 6.75km at the same time. Intermittent scree, boulders and grass before reaching top near fence. Crossed over to windshelter anyway but I agree with current High top. Continued towards Little Gowder Crag. Too cold to stop...Dazingdale17/03/2024

Heading towards Steeple from Boat Howe. With Bryher.jenx18/06/2019
From work on Friday we got our stuff together and set off in the van (not before a Maccies for tea) nice that time of evening and quiet. We parked up for the night at Wastwater not quite where I had planned but that spot had cars in it. Woke up and moved the van with Bec still in the back to the start of the walk. While making a brew an NT man came asking if we’d slept there that night. After getting ready we set off following Nether Beck stopping at the lovely fairy pools along the way. This part of the walk was nice and gradual weaving in the valley between the mountains of Middle Fell and Yewbarrow. We had to also stop for the momentous occasion when Bec created the 215th wainwright El Crapitan. From there we started the steep ascent to the col between Haycock and Scoat fell where we stopped and chilled with some dinner the thought being the now incoming clouds could pass over (they didn’t). After this we made the short steep but fairly easy climb to the summit. A rocky summitScotty 2 Hotty18/05/2019
