Weather awful, wind rain mist. Everything sodden. Aborted the remainder of my route by descending back towards Stockley Bridge. The rest can wait until another time. | Longwojo | 19/02/2023 |

Staying at High House, Seathwaithe on an Ochils Mountaineering Club trip.
We headed up to Glaramara first, into the mist, then along ridge toward Scafell Pike. By the time we got to Lincomb Tarns the mist had burned off and it was blue skies with light wind thereafter. We went over Allen Crags, Great End, Ill Crag and Broad Crag. Finishing on Scafell Pike and returned via the corridor route, 09:55hrs.
We started off as a group of six, but Nicky & Linda turned off before Allen Crags (Linda hadn't been hillwalking in a while), Sharon decided to include Sca Fell as well, while Michael, Simon and I (cowardly) returned to High House. | chillyman8 | 24/09/2022 |

From Esk Hause we headed straight up Allen Crags. This ascent took 7 mins and again the summit had 2 cairns. Cracking little summit with left me with 3 left (2walks) from there we headed down to ruddy gill were we topped up the water and found a private plunge pool and water fall. We both took turns at going in. it was such an amazing feeling and day. One of the best we’ve ever had in the lakes and that’s saying something. When we got home we drank the night away on wine and beer and chilled all Sunday watching Haze outdoors and a godfathers for tea. One of the best weekends ever. The lakes never disappoints. | Scotty 2 Hotty | 24/04/2021 |
