Weather awful, wind rain mist. Everything sodden. Aborted the remainder of my route by descending back towards Stockley Bridge. The rest can wait until another time.Longwojo19/02/2023
Staying at High House, Seathwaithe on an Ochils Mountaineering Club trip. We headed up to Glaramara first, into the mist, then along ridge toward Scafell Pike. By the time we got to Lincomb Tarns the mist had burned off and it was blue skies with light wind thereafter. We went over Allen Crags, Great End, Ill Crag and Broad Crag. Finishing on Scafell Pike and returned via the corridor route, 09:55hrs. We started off as a group of six, but Nicky & Linda turned off before Allen Crags (Linda hadn't been hillwalking in a while), Sharon decided to include Sca Fell as well, while Michael, Simon and I (cowardly) returned to High House.chillyman824/09/2022

First top of a 10 hour sweltering day - as I couldn't be 100% certain I'd 'ticked' this on 1st Sept 1968 from my log book and I didn't remember the unusual summit so probably hadn't. Later contoured back to Round How (which I definitely hadn't done before) before finishing by scrambling up to Broad Crag & Scafell Pike, then Lord's Rake to Symonds Knott. Just Pillar Rock to finish the Nuttalls now.signyred26/07/2014
