The Far Western Ennerdale Fells from Scaly Moss. Visited: Grike, Crag Fell, Iron Crag - Ennerdale Fell, Caw Fell, Haycock, Little Gowder Crag, Whoap, Lank Rigg, Blakeley Raise. From Bowness (Ennerdale). 17 km, 1000 m asc. E down the main track and over Char Dub Bridge and S up to Caw Fell. E along the Ennerdale Fence to Little Gowder Crag, Haycock, Great Scoat Fell and Scoat Fell. Over Middle Scoat Fell and N down and up to Steeple. From the forest commission car park for Bowness Knott on the North shore of Ennerdale water, took to the track for the Yha and turned right at the first occasion then the first left to start the climb for Lingmell, continuing on the same path over Tewit how to Haycock, Little Gowder crag, Caw fell and finally Ennerdale fell (Iron crag). Returning via a wall down Silvercove beck to reach the footpath to Ennerdale water and the track back to the carpark. Thirteen mile in Five and half hours.WAYNE ROWLETT05/12/2022

Parked at bottom of Nether Beck under Middle Fell, walked up the half decent path all way to Pots of Ashness. Skirted this wet ground to NE and then the Joss Naylor trail to break off for my penultimate Synge, High Pikehow. For good measure re-bagged Haycock, Little Haycock then back past Pikehow to Seatallan on the JNT then Middle Fell. Descended direct through Iron Crag to path then car.nordicstar27/02/2019

Up Nether Beck then Lad Crag Beck with DW taking in High Pikehow, Caw, Little Gowder, Scoat Fell, Steeple and Red Pike Down via Dore Head and Over Beck. From Nether Beck Bridge with wife. Route to col between Scoat and Haycock rocky in parts and very wet in places. Scoat first then back down and up for Haycock. Got as far as Little Gowder crag but just didn't have time to do Caw. That will be a long, gruelling mistake to correct.nukeboy122/08/2017
